Kneeling arms and Archer pose.
Don’t sue me, but our work in Pilates has so many overlaps with gym work. It underpins our strength training.
This type of sequence can be challenging, yet functional and rewarding.
So many points of reference to consider.
Lower & upper body
Balance
Scapular stability
Resistance from below
Varied unilateral resistances
And more…

The power source and platform for the arms - Trunk integration and the back.
There’s a lot to cue here! 😊
PILATES IS AN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE
Why?
Because we have so many tools to teach with. And it’s not always the most obvious ones that work best.
Our words often don’t land first, its intonation , body language, expression (smiles you don’t see, but sense).
See our French Farah, in action here. Physical expression, gesticulating, teaching and speaking in her native tongue to her international fellows.
And that sound of breath 😮💨, everyone follows! Priceless!
