We had strong racing from our UL-Molesey composites at Ratzeburg this weekend with our Women’s 8+ securing the win both Saturday and Sunday.

Met Regatta Round-Up

UL had a solid day of racing on the Saturday of Met, with eight boats racing.

Results:
Women’s Championship 8+: 6th
Women’s Championship 2x: 8th
Women’s Championship 4-: 9th
Open Championship 8+: 14th
Open Championship 4+: 12th, 30th
Women’s Championship 4+: 17th
Women’s Championship 4x: 23th

The squad now heads to Brive-La-Gaillarde for training camp, ahead of HWR, Marlow and Henley Royal.

Poplar Regatta Round-Up

Over the weekend, ULBC returned to the docks to race Poplar Regatta, with all crews racing medalling in their events. As a result, we also won the Women’s Victor Ludorum! An exciting step further into our regatta season.

BUCS Regatta Roundup:

This past weekend, the UL squad travelled to Nottingham to kickstart summer racing at BUCS Regatta. Three days of tight racing and strong competition made an exciting start to regatta season.

A particular highlight was our Women’s Champ 8+ bringing the gold medal back to the Purple Palace for the first time since 2018!

This past weekend five athletes represented ULBC at April trials, competing to represent GB at Senior and U23 World Championships and FISU. Congratulations to Alumna Megan Slabbert for her win in W2-.

12. Winning the W Gold 4- and W Gold 8+ at Poplar Regatta

13. Winning the Thames Valley Academic Award at Eights Head

14. Placing 2nd among Academic 8+s at WEHORR

15. Retaining our 2022 title in the Women’s Academic 4- at Fours Head
