Here is a great example of the application of the Milton Model patterning in Mandarin, where one of our new Practitioners created an introduction to her own class with the patterning. Amazing 🇨🇳

Submodalities define the meaning of the persons representations
Generative Modelling is a brand-new concept in the world of NLP and hypnosis which utilises the Generative Trance state from Stephen Gilligan’s work for the purpose of modelling human excellence.
Uniquely at the first Generative Modelling course taking place in Bristol, UK, Stephen Gilligan will be the model of excellence. We will be replicating the process utilised by the original NLP modellers when building the modelling project on Milton Erickson.
Stephen Gilligan was 19 years old when he joined the NLP Modelling team led by John Grinder and Richard Bandler and Steve became the Erickson prototype. His deep trance identification work with Milton is now legendary in the field of NLP and hypnosis.
51 years later, Steve will be our model, and you will be the new modellers, modelling Steve’s brilliance as he works on stage with clients, just like the original modellers in modelling Erickson.

Transformational grammar brought process modelling to NLP, working with subjectivity and not a statistical basis common to behaviourism and cognitive psychology. In transformational grammar discrete model treats language as a system built from distinct, separate, and categorical building blocks—such as discrete words, clear-cut syntactic categories that are unique and thus not universal
The eye accessing cues model frequently operates as discrete model, for example in some cases when accessing an auditory recall representation, the person will access a different system first, for example visual recall and from the visual lead then clearly accessing the auditory recall representations, both representations clearly corroborated with the eye accessing chart Vr and then Ar

Grinder and Bandler in the same event celebrating 50 years, if we were to it again how would it be different? After all a key premise in NLP is the difference that makes the difference. There are so many stories which weave the tapestry of NLP history, here is part of the NLP 50 story

I started coaching with NLP and running specific NLP programmes as a hobby 31 years ago. I was bored with financial services work; although it was hugely profitable, it didn't really stimulate me. NLP did, and in career terms, I found my passion with NLP. The hobby grew relatively easily to a full-time business; I wasn’t trying too hard, but the clients were rolling I in, I was making money from doing what I love, and pretty quickly I was working as a promoter with some of the biggest names in NLP

In this article, Michael Carroll, explores the rich antecedents that directly and indirectly influenced the development of Neuro-Linguistic Programming; see comments for the link
Most NLP establishments, (if you can call them that) teach a watered down version of what we now call Classic Code NLP, the work co – created by Grinder and Bandler from 1972 -1980.
NLP did not stop developing in 1980, the adventure continued with both John Grrinder and Richard Bandler, independently creating new NLP patterning which continues to the present datys.
John brought New Code NLP to the arena, together with Carmen Bostic, in the mid to late 80s, to update the Classic Patterns and to correct what he considered to be coding flaws in the original patterning. The intention was to ensure personal congruency with the patterning in the coaches to deliver lasting and generative change to the clients seeking new choices from NLP.
In the COVID era, John, began testing patterning to support people with their recovery from COVID and Long COVID. The new style of patterning was highly targeted at the parts of then unconscious holding archived resources associated with learning new responses to pathogens, which we have all been doing since birth. John tested these patterns rigoursley over a 2 year period.
Then in 2022, at NLP Academy Modelling seminar, where John was working live with cold clients, ie people who he had not met previously, all of whom had health issues, John naturally and unconsciously generalised COVID patterning as an updated suite of patterns specifically for health and healing.
We then coded the patterns and Emergent New Code NLP was formalised. Like the development of Classic NLP, a lot of trial and error testing was carried out, in this case over a two year period working with clients, prior to the modelling seminar referenced earlier.
So we have
Classic NLP
New Code NLP
Emergent New Code NLP
All built on extensive testing from modelling
