Swanley Town Council is delighted to celebrate the achievement of receiving three Green Flag Awards, recognising the outstanding quality and high standards maintained at Swanley Park, Swanley Recreation Ground and Elephant Park. The success comes as the internationally recognised Green Flag Award scheme marks its 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of excellence in parks and green spaces.

This year, Swanley Park has been awarded its ninth consecutive Green Flag Award, while both Swanley Recreation Ground and Elephant Park have each secured their sixth consecutive awards. These achievements demonstrate the Council's ongoing commitment to providing safe, welcoming and well-maintained green spaces for residents and visitors alike.
Swanley Park, Swanley Recreation Ground and Elephant Park are among a record-breaking 2,391 parks and green spaces across the UK to receive the prestigious award this year. The recognition is a testament to the dedication, hard work and passion of the staff and volunteers who care for these valued community spaces, ensuring they continue to flourish and provide an enjoyable environment for everyone.

Parks & Open Spaces Manager George Brooker said: "Receiving three Green Flag Awards is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, hard work and passion of our staff and volunteers. Their commitment to maintaining and enhancing our parks and green spaces ensures they remain welcoming, safe and enjoyable for everyone in the community.
