"Do you really need all of that equipment?" It's a question we get asked from time to time, and the answer is simple... yes. Every patient who walks through our doors is different. Someone living with a spinal disc problem won't need the same treatment as a runner with Achilles pain, or someone recovering from shoulder surgery. That's why we've invested in advanced technologies including IDD Therapy, K-Laser Therapy, Targeted Cryotherapy, Shockwave Therapy, our Mobiliser Recovery Suite and our in-house rehabilitation gym. They aren't there to impress people - they're there because they allow us to choose the treatment that's most appropriate for the individual in front of us. We believe great results come from combining experience, clinical assessment and having the right technology available when it's needed. π 020 8812 3733

Most people hear the word acupuncture and immediately think of traditional Chinese medicine. Medical acupuncture is different. It's based on modern anatomy and clinical evidence, and is commonly used alongside treatments such as osteopathy and rehabilitation to help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension and encourage the body's natural healing process. Whether you've picked up a sporting niggle over the summer or you're dealing with long-standing aches that just won't settle, medical acupuncture could form part of your personalised treatment plan. If you've always been curious but never quite knew what it involved, we'd be happy to answer your questions. π 020 8812 3733

Bank Holiday plans? Your back might have a few of its ownβ¦ π¬
A long drive, a few hours in the garden, tackling that DIY job youβve been putting off, or simply doing far more walking than usual can all leave you feeling a little worse for wear after the Bank Holiday weekend.
A few simple things can help:
β
Take regular breaks during long journeys
β
Avoid trying to do the entire garden in one afternoon
β
Change position regularly when painting, decorating or doing DIY
β
Keep moving rather than waiting until you feel stiff
β
And if something starts hurting, donβt keep pushing through it
Enjoy the long weekend, but be kind to your back while youβre at it!
If you do wake up on Tuesday wondering βWhat have I done to myself?β, weβre here to help. π

When was the last time your shoulders actually felt relaxed? Without thinking about it, let your shoulders drop. Did they actually relax... or are they still sitting up by your ears? We see so many people carrying tension through their neck and trapezius muscles without even realising it. Hours at a desk, driving, travelling, stress and even looking down at your phone all play a part. As summer draws to a close, many people return to work feeling tighter than when they left. If your neck always feels stiff or you're forever rubbing the tops of your shoulders, don't ignore it. π 020 8812 3733
