When India Refused To Travel To Pakistan For Asia Cup 2023 & To Play The Champions Trophy 2025, The Decision Was Widely Applauded At Home. The Public Called It Sensible. The Media Framed It As A Security Necessity. Former Cricketers Wrapped It In The Language Of National Interest.

Even Hybrid Model Between 2 Boards Started Because India Denied To Travel Pakistan For Asia Cup & CT Despite Pakistan Visited Us During 2023 WC

Removing Pakistan Logo From Jersey, Denying Talking To Pakistan Journalist Etc. Were Another Few Steps Which Were Labelled "Patriotic Stand"

India Postponed Bangladesh Tour Of Bilateral Series Due To Security Concerns Was Not Political Or Drama But In Nations Interest.

Not Once Was It Labelled Political. Not Once Was Indian Cricket Accused Of “Mixing Politics With Sport.”

A Similar Moral Comfort Was Visible During The IPL Auction Episode Involving A Bangladeshi Player. His Name Was Put Into The Auction Pool, He Was Picked, And Then Quietly Discarded.

The Decision Was Again Described As Justified, Practical And Apolitical. The Outrage, Interestingly, Was Not Directed At The System But At The Franchise Owner — Conveniently Targeted Because He Was Muslim, While The Co-Owners (Juhi Chawla & Venky Mysore) Remained Untouched And Unmentioned. Selective Anger Has Always Been Easier Than Selective Thinking.

We Can Avoid The Handshake To Insult The Other Side And, More Importantly, Kill The Dignity Of The Sport — But Again, It Is Not A Political Move, It Is A Deshbhakti (Patriotic) Move For The Same Audience At Home.

We Are The Richest Cricket Board In The World, Yet We Couldn’t Boycott A Single Match Against Pakistan.

If The ICC Had Imposed Financial Sanctions, So What? Would It Really Have Been Such A Big Loss If Money Was Sacrificed For The Innocent Lives That Were Lost?
But When We Couldn’t Do That—Because Broadcasters Had To Be Kept Happy—Why All These Tantrums After Reaching The Event?

Till Date, I Genuinely Fail To Understand How This Ever Proved Patriotism.

The Money Earned From That Match Was Quietly Deposited Into Our Bank Accounts,
And Then, With On-Field Drama And Symbolic Gestures, Patriotism Was Sold To A Blind Audience.

What Kind Of Nationalism Is This—Profitable Off The Field, Performative On It?

We Did Not Take The Trophy From The PCB Chairperson Because Of Government–Ministry Connections, But Conveniently Forgot That He Was Also The ACC Chair. But Of Course, Again, We Did The Right Thing — And It Was Not Political At All, It Was Deshbhakti (A Patriotic Move).

Who Forced ICC To Go For Hybrid Model First ?
INDIA (Asia Cup 2023)

Did Pakistan Denied To Travel India ?
NO (They Played ODI WC 23)

Who Denied To Go To Pakistan For CT ?
INDIA (2025)

Did Pakistan Denied To Tour India For Asia Cup 25 ?
YES (Because India Boycott CT)

Who Avoid Handshake In Asia Cup ?
INDIA (2025)

Who Decides To Not Receive Winning Trophy From ACC Chairman Naqvi ?
INDIA (2025)

Who Removed Bangladesh Player From IPL Without Any Appropriate Official Explanation ?
INDIA

What Was Bangladesh Reaction ?
THEY REFUSE TO PLAY IN INDIA

This Chain Tells You That We Started All The Things In The Name Of Patriotism, Followed By Other 2, But We Were 100% Fair Right ? We Are Damn Patriotic !

Yet, When Another Country Takes An Identical Step In The Name Of Deshbhakti (Patriotism), The Reaction Flips Instantly. Suddenly, The Same Actions Are Termed Political, Unnecessary And Damaging To The Spirit Of Cricket. The Principle Does Not Change — Only The Flag Does.

A Bangladeshi Player May Not Be Welcome In The IPL, But The Bangladesh Team, Journalists And Fans Can Travel To India To Play Matches, Even Amid Threats And Hostile Rhetoric. When India Refuses To Travel To Pakistan, It Is Called Practicality. When Bangladesh Refuses To Travel To India, It Is Instantly Labelled Political Drama. This Is Not Analysis; This Is Hypocrisy Dressed As Patriotism.

The Truth Is Uncomfortable. Cricket Is Not Being Protected By These Decisions — It Is Being Negotiated. Financial Interests Dictate Morality.

Your Obsession With Making Money Doesn’t Allow You To Boycott Matches Against Pakistan. But When Pakistan Does The Same, The Move Is Suddenly Termed Political, Accused Of Ruining Cricket And Of Dragging Politics Into The Sport.

The Standards Shift Not With Ethics, But With Economics.

Let Us Be Honest — Cricket In South Asia Has Not Been Turned Into A Spectacle By One Board Alone. India, Pakistan And Bangladesh Have All Contributed To This Slow Erosion. However, The First Serious Institutional Shift That Openly Brought Political Influence Onto The Cricketing Platform Came From India.

That Reality Is Conveniently Ignored Because It Benefited Indian Cricket. When BCCI Decisions And ICC Outcomes Repeatedly Aligned With Indian Interests, Silence Followed — From Fans, From Media, And Most Notably From Former Cricketers Who Now Survive Within The Ecosystem They Refuse To Question.

This Does Not Absolve Others. The PCB Chairman’s Infamous Trophy-Snatching Episode Did Not Glorify Cricket; It Embarrassed It & He Should Be Ashamed Of It. They Always Play Victim Card.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Decision To Move Straight To A Boycott Without Exhausting Dialogue Reflected Immaturity, Not Moral Courage. In Fact, The Upcoming General Election In The Country Directly Or Indirectly Had A Role To Play In This Decision As Well.

But Reacting Poorly Does Not Erase Who Set The Precedent. Following A Wrong Path Does Not Make The Path Right.

What We Are Witnessing Now Is Not Rivalry — It Is Ego Warfare. Three Boards, Three Narratives, And Zero Accountability. No One Is Willing To Admit Their Own Backyard Is Dirty. Each Side Celebrates Its Decisions As Bold And Principled While Portraying The Other As Villains. This Theatre Survives Because It Is Supported By Obedient Fans, Flattering Media Houses, And Former Cricketers Who Fear Losing Relevance, Contracts Or Access.

The Greatest Casualty Of This Collective Arrogance Is Cricket Itself — Especially Outside South Asia, Where The Game Is Already Struggling To Survive. While Administrators Here Are Busy Flexing Political Muscles, Cricket Is Being Reduced To A Bargaining Chip Rather Than A Sport That Once United Cultures Across Borders.

For Those Who Grew Up Loving The Game, The Heartbreak Is Personal. Matches Have Become Fewer Than The Tantrums Surrounding Them. Skill And Competition Have Taken A Backseat To Statements, Boycotts And Symbolic Stunts.

The Sport That Once Spoke A Universal Language Is Now Fluent Only In Power Equations.

But Perhaps These Concerns No Longer Matter. Who Cares About Cricket When Bank Balances Are Healthy, Political Objectives Are Met, And The Right People Remain Pleased? In Today’s South Asian Cricketing Culture, These Are The Only Metrics That Seem To Count.

Cricket Was Never Just A Game Here. It Was A Shared Emotion. Today, It Is Merely A Convenient Tool — Used, Twisted And Discarded When Required. And Until Convenience Is Mistaken For Courage, Ego For Policy, And Hypocrisy For Nationalism, Cricket Will Not Die Suddenly. It Will Simply Continue To Be Suffocated — Slowly, Loudly And In Full Public View.

Right Now, Indian Former Cricketers, Media, And Fans Must Be Abusing Pakistan For “Ruining Cricket.”

In Pakistan, Everyone Will Be Blaming India.

And In Bangladesh, The Reaction Won’t Be Much Different Either.

Like I Said — There Isn’t Even An Ounce Of Courage In Any Of Them To Look At Their Own Mistakes.
And India, Which Sits At The Top Of All This — The Very Country That Started Many Of These Issues And Also Holds Significant Power Within The ICC — Will, Of Course, Be Full Of Saints.
Pure, Spotless People Sitting There, Confidently Saying, “We Have Never Done Anything Wrong. It’s Always Someone Else’s Fault.”

For Injecting Fake Chest-Thumping Patriotism Into Their People, India, Pakistan And Bangladesh Used Cricket As A Platform And, In The Process, Are Destroying It Day By Day. And I Will Be Lying If I Don’t Admit That It Started With India, Followed By Pakistan, And Now Bangladesh.

If You Are Not Blind And You Are A Neutral Cricket Fan, Then Only You Can Understand Who Is At Fault Here And Who Is Not. Otherwise, You Will Also Join The Herd Mentality Of Blaming Others Instead Of Themselves.

100% All Three Of Them Politicised Cricket Badly, But We Were The Ones Who Set This Trend In Motion.

Anyway, let it be.
Welcome to the ICC T20 Political Cup.

How Is It That When We Take Certain Steps, It Is Called “Patriotic” And Not Political Interference, But When Others Do The Same, It Suddenly Becomes “Political” And A Step That Damages Cricket?

You Are Anti-National, Go To Pakistan, Idiot And Foolish Admin… This Page Is Of Pakistani/Bangladeshi. How Much Money Have You Taken To Write This?, — Such Kind Of Comments Might Start Appearing In The Comment Box Because I Was Honest And Not Blind To See Our Own Wrongdoings Over The Last Few Years.

Pakistan Showing Tantrums ? YES
Bangladesh Doing Drama ? YES

But Who Started The Trend Of Tantrums & Drama ?

Aag Mei Ghee Daal Rahi Hai Pakistan & Bangladesh Par Woh Aag Lagi Kese ? Kisne Lagai ?

I Blame All 3 Of Them (55% India, 25% Pakistan, 20% Bangladesh) For Making This World Cup A Political Controversial Event

Pakistan Cricket And Bangladesh Cricket Are Toxic And Over-Politicised, Then Sorry To Say — We Are No Saints Either. We Just Wear Better PR, Louder Nationalism, And Call Our Interference “Patriotism.”

The Problem Isn’t Who Politicised Cricket. The Problem Is Who Gets Applauded For It And Who Gets Abused. When We Do It, It’s National Interest. When They Do It, It’s Ruining The Game. Same Act, Different Flags, Different Verdicts.

Pakistan & Bangladesh are extending what we started. India will retaliate for sure. Then again, Pakistan or Bangladesh will react accordingly. And this will not stop anytime soon because ego and political wars have destroyed nations. Then what is sport ?
