Introducing the Wolf Cub Challenge: an exciting, achievable duathlon created specifically for family teams with younger cubs! 🦊✨

Forget boring fixed routes and rigid distances. The Wolf Cub Challenge is all about exploring the forest, working as a team, and collecting checkpoints at your own family pace!

How It Works:

🏃 On Foot: 2–3 km

🚴 On Bike: 3–5 km

🏆 The Goal: Explore the woods, complete fun special challenges, and rack up points as a team!

👥 Teams: Designed for families; team up with your cubs and explore together!

Whether you want to hunt down every single checkpoint or enjoy a relaxed adventure under the trees, you set the pack's pace.

Introducing the Pack Challenge: It is a duathlon with a twist! Forget set routes and fixed distances. This is about strategy, teamwork, and exploration.

So whether you're aiming for the top of the leaderboard or looking for a memorable adventure in nature, you set the pace!

How It Works:

🏃 On Foot: 3–7 km

🚴 On Bike: 10–15 km

🏆 The Goal: Navigate through the course, complete special challenges, and collect as many checkpoints and points as possible within the area.

👥 Teams: 2–4 people (Perfect for groups of friends and families with older kids!)

Go competitive, go casual, or just go for the challenge. How you conquer the trail is entirely up to you and your pack.

We are postponing the Wolf Cub & Pack Challenge to Sunday, 8th November 2026.

We know date changes can be frustrating, and we apologise for the inconvenience. Our goal is to host a well-attended event that gives everyone the best possible experience.

What makes Adventure Racing our favourite sport?

The UK & Ireland Adventure Racing Championship race, ITERA(lite) 2026 is kicking off this weekend, and three of our core event crew and many more SEAR friends are about to take on the 3 day, 300km epic journey through the South West of England. Competing in different teams, navigating wild terrain, tracking down checkpoints and pushing their limits.

Watching them gather for the start line tomorrow morning reminds us exactly why we fell in love with the sport in the first place.

In fact, we love this sport so much that we want everyone to be able to experience it, without needing championship level fitness! That's why our event at Alice Holt features a friendly 5km+ bike course and a 2km+ foot stage designed specifically for families and beginners.
