Nuts Vs Cams with Jim Pope 🧗♀️
In trad climbing, nuts are lightweight, inexpensive passive protection best used in V-shaped constrictions. Cams are versatile, active spring-loaded devices that expand to fit parallel cracks. A standard trad rack uses both, prioritizing nuts to save weight and cams for speed.

If I’d have gotten a preview of what summer so far was going to look like at the end of last year, I would have said “nooo, you’re kidding!” In a good way. Grateful as heck to be feeling on a good trajectory; trusting the process, being patient, enjoying climbing and working away at getting stronger.
Photos from a couple of weekends ago in The Lake District. Bonkers temps (!) went hiking (!) went bouldering (!) went climbing (!) hung out at and enjoyed some time by the lake.

The Brusher (2026)
An intimate and unexpectedly profound portrait of Hannah Morris Bouldering, former climbing influencer, as she steps away from conventional climbing at the height of her career.
In this powerful biopic, Morris explores her relationship with one of the sport’s lost art forms, giving exclusive insight into her decisions to step away from Hannah Morris Bouldering and how her community is responding to her work.
As Morris grapples with the leaving behind the pursuit of climbing performance, the film explores her deepening obsession with one of climbing’s most overlooked rituals. The Brusher asks a simple question: who really makes the climb possible?

Some dynamic movement wisdom from Coach Be 🚀
Let your peripheral vision track body position, foot placements and handholds as you climb. The more you trust what you sense around you, the smoother and more controlled your movement is likely to be on the wall.
