The early season May camp is split between the opportunity to train hard with expert advice and to relax and enjoy the resort with family or friends who may accompany you to the resort. The program covers all essential parts of pre-season triathlon training such as open water swimming, transition skills, brick workouts, interval workouts, long aerobic workouts, core stability workouts and a sprint tri race at the end of the week. In addition, guests will get a one-on-one coaching session with one of the coaches to help with their technique or planning their training and schedule The week ends with a sprint triathlon (750m/20K/5K) organised in conjunction with the Neilson team at the Resort. The October camp is an end of season technique and winter preparation camp, where you can enjoy a balance of some relaxed aerobic workouts with plenty of technical advice to help you improve through the off season. Key workouts include swim, bike and run technique skills and drills sessions, bike rides with amazing scenery and open water swimming in crystal clear water. In addition, guests will get a one-on-one coaching session with one of the coaches to help with their technique or planning their training and schedule. The Retreat Sivota Beach Resort is one of Neilson’s luxurious Beachplus Club resorts offering four-star accommodation with spectacular sea views and delicious cuisine. Here you will find a swimming pool, two floodlit tennis courts with tuition included, children’s clubs for all ages (pre-bookable) and a terraced bar area making it perfect for athletes and their partners, family and friends to enjoy. There’s also a chance to enjoy a whole range of inclusive activities with tuition such as sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing and mountain biking. On all RnR camps, because of the diversity of the coaching staff and the resorts, the camps cater for everyone from complete novices to experienced Ironman triathletes, male or female and any age. Angela Paterson, after coming on her first RnR camp commented: “Having decided to do my first triathlon this year, I felt that immersing myself in the sport on a week’s camp would be the best way to get some top tips! After spending some time on the internet researching the subject and asking around, I came across the RnR Tri Camp in Sivota, Greece and consequent correspondence convinced me that this was the best choice! And I wasn’t disappointed. "As soon as I arrived in Gatwick and met my fellow 16 camp mates and instructors, I was put at ease. I was the rookie of the bunch (some were Ironmen!) – but from the first day, I felt motivated, confident and supported. I learnt so much during the week, pushed myself harder than I thought possible and loved every minute of it. Being with strangers wasn’t a problem at all – we all had a common interest and talked constantly on the subject for seven days – when we weren’t in the sea, on bikes or running. Every day was different, well planned and fun - highlights included a swim around the local island, a very challenging bike ride and a sprint triathlon on the last day. I didn’t once feel pressurised into participating – I just felt that the energy and support of the others would get me there. "I came back buzzing, fitter, more confident and 100% sure that I would complete the London Triathlon with dignity. In fact, I might even be considering a half ironman now! Whether you are a veteran of the sport or have just embarked on your triathlon journey, I highly recommend this trip.”
Angela four years later has now gone on to complete countless triathlons, including her first Ironman and arctic marathon in 2013, continually using the camps as a way to stay motivated and make the steps she personally needs to make, in a great environment. HOW TO BOOK:

SPEECHLESS AND PROUD
Earlier this week RnR Coached, Qatari Athlete’s, Talal AbAl Emadi, Fahad Al Buenain and Abdulaziz Al Abdulla successfully completed the Enduroman Arch to Arc Triathlon as a tag-relay team in a time of 69hours 20minutes. The Arch to Arc is made up of a 87-mile run (140 km), Cross-Channel swim (shortest distance 21 miles/33 km) and 180-mile (290 km) bike ride. Joining a group of less than 100 individuals and teams to complete the Arch to Arc, a challenge that has seen more than 50% of attempts fail.,
During this epic endurance feat, Fahad Al Buenain also became the first Qatari to swim the English Channel in a time of 19 hours and 11 minutes. Fahad joins an elite group of swimmers to complete the swim, a swim that has seen fewer people accomplish it as a solo than people who have ascended Everest.
Coached by RnR Coach Ryan Sosna-Bowd who said, “Coaching this team has been a great privilege and honour but getting them to the finish line is a team effort.
A big thank you to my fellow RnR coachesl Alex Paxton who played a pivotal role in safeguarding Talal on the run and Fahad on the swim making it easy for me to ensure feeds and athlete care and strategy changes could be done without stress; and Ralph Hydes for ensuring that the bike team where ready in France and the start could be smooth and then ensuring the health and well-being of the athletes who had finished
The team’s success is not just down to the athletes preparation and coaching but to the wider support of RnR coaching team
These things only happen because of how amazing and understanding Ralph and Alex are (and Robbie and Mary) on other challenges, as well as our wider network of people like Tim Denyer of Red Top swimming (providing support and advisory for Channel swim), Vicki Annis (Physio) and more
