When faced with choosing a material, Calvin found every material in existence to be lacking in some manner (for a hammock), so he decided to invent the fabric he was imagining. And so Ar•Ya was born. Ar•Ya is a lightweight, durable, multipurpose material. The Ar•Ya Hammock is Calvin’s gravity-inspired take on the classic hammock. We want you to be creative with your Ar•Ya Hammock! While traveling in the Himalayan mountains Calvin met a group of children in the village of Graham - and they spent the afternoon playing and laughing and enjoying themselves in an Ar•Ya Hammock. It was this experience that led Calvin to start providing Ar•Ya Hammocks for people in impoverished areas, if for nothing more - to make smiles! Of course Ar•Ya is much more and serves as a great tool in difficult living conditions. We will continue to visit new places and makes smiles with Ar•Ya!
