The club was well represented today in Glasgow at the funeral of Ali Graham aka The Rev. 100s of people attended which was the best possible reflection of the impact Ali had on so many people's lives. Moments of sadness but many moments of laughter and connection as we remembered a wonderful man. Ali will be missed and will always remain in our thoughts, we will keep playing football and living life in the way he expects. Goodbye to one of the greats.

⚽ Saturday Football – 15th November Weekend Fixtures

We’re back in action this Saturday with a blockbuster lineup of fixtures across the club!

First Team – At Home and on the enclosed vs. Old Thorntonians - 14:00 KO.
Looking to bounce back from the midweek defeat in the Middlesex Premier Cup quarterfinal, the 1s want to try and make it three league wins on the bounce.

Second Team – Away vs. Kensington Dragons (AFA Intermediate Cup). A chance to build on recent cup success and keep the momentum going in another knockout competition.

Third Team – Away vs. West Wickham (SAL Intermediate Cup). A big trip out to Kent awaits looking to progress in the AFA Cup, and bounce back from defeat last week. It promises to be a cracking contest.

Fourth Team – No game this weekend.

Fifth Team – Home fixture vs Old Tiffinians 3XI. Ready to make the most of home advantage and push on in the league against new opposition for the Club following the merger.

Sixth Team – Away vs. Old Thorntonians.
Sixes make it a club double-header against new league opponents following recent league mergers. A great opportunity to make their mark.

Best of luck to the women as they aim to bring home the points!

Let’s hope the weather holds after yesterday’s rain. Good luck to everyone pulling on the shirt this weekend. 💪

Last Saturday, all of our teams played in memory of Ali Graham. ❤️

Before kick-off, every match held a minute’s silence for Remembrance Sunday, followed by a minute’s applause to celebrate the incredible life of our former club captain and vice-president, Ali, who sadly passed away on Thursday. Every game was played in a spirit truly befitting his legacy.

⚽ First Team – A dominant 4–0 win away to Wandsworth Borough, with a hat-trick off the bench from Dwayne Somerville.
⚽ Second Team – A good 5–2 Cup win, featuring a goal on his return from Lucas McDonald and a strike from Ollie Bampton after an eventful 24 hours.
⚽ Third Team – A tough 4–1 defeat at home to a First Team in the league.
⚽ Fourth Team – A battling 2–1 loss in extra time after a heated contest.
⚽ Fifth Team – A 4–1 loss, with a goal from Chris Hayward.
⚽ Sixth Team – Narrow 2–1 defeat, with Luis Rodriguez on the scoresheet.
⚽ Super Vets – A special match played just days after Ali’s passing. A team of Ali’s friends and former teammates took on Croxley, falling 5–3 in a goal-filled tribute.

A fantastic turnout in the Clubhouse afterwards to raise a glass to a club legend.

THE REV’S SUPER VETS

Today a team of Club Legends pull the shirt back on for a friendly vs Croxley Green Super Vets. If you are in the local area make sure you come on down for the 16:00 kick off.

Rather poignantly the day after Ali passed a group of Ali’s close friends and ex teammates will take to Kings House once again.

Some cracking names on show, who will no doubt host a glass to the man himself after the game.

Live match updates will follow so keep out for the stories.

SATURDAY 8th NOVEMBER

Football continues this weekend with six sides in action at 2pm and then the Super Vets at 4pm. But after yesterday’s news we will remember and hold Ali Graham in our hearts as we take the pitch today.

The 1s look to continue their good form away to Wandsworth Borough in the League, another first time opposition from the AFC in the refined Premier Division.

The 2s take on Lyonians 2s in the AFA Cup at home, on the enclosed. After a good win last week, the 2s want to keep that good run going with another positive performance and result.

Also at Kings House the 3s take on Brent 1s in the League looking to shift focus after a few positive weeks in the Cups and the 4s look to get their season back on track and begin a Cup run, taking on Academicals in the AFA Cup.

The 5s travel over the road to face off against rivals Poly in the League and the 6s face the longest journey of the weekend facing up against Dorking Cobblers.

And of course best of luck to the Women’s side tomorrow.

A minute silence will be held before each game ahead of Remembrance Sunday and this will be followed by a minute applause in honour of the Rev.

Post match drinks will be held in the Clubhouse to honour the Rev. Please make yourself down if you can.

Go and do it for Ali today gents - plenty of points and Cup opportunities to bring back wins to the Clubhouse.
