“Maybe when the kids are older…”
No.
This is literally all you get.
I remember with my first postpartum experience when nothing felt perfect—my body was healing, my baby wouldn’t take a bottle, I was the only one doing nights, and only my mum available for babysitting help around her work.
I rushed through gym workouts between breastfeeds, and when I couldn’t get there, I trained at home with my velcro baby strapped to me. Or the gym crèche coming to get me after 15 mins because he just wouldn’t settle. As he got older it was constant interruptions in workouts. It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t glamorous. But waiting for the perfect time would have meant never starting - I tried everything I could…consistently. Even when it wasn’t going to be perfect.
Here’s the truth: if you don’t build the habit when life is messy and chaotic, you won’t suddenly find it easy when things “settle down.” Life doesn’t get less busy—you just find new excuses and new ways of filling the time.
Tomorrow isn’t promised. Don’t wait for the perfect season, the perfect schedule, or the perfect version of you. The perfect time doesn’t exist.
Do it tired. Do it messy. Do it now. 💪✨
didn’t just lose body fat.
She became the kind of mum her son will grow up watching and learning from.
Life didn’t suddenly become easier either.
She was hosting, training from home, struggling with mobility and trying to balance motherhood at the same time.
But instead of waiting for the “perfect time,” she stayed consistent with the small habits.
Moving her body.
Building strength.
Fueling herself better.
Showing up even on hard days.
And now those habits are something she’s proud for her son to see.
Because the muscle she’s built didn’t just change her body.
It gave her more energy, confidence and resilience for everyday life.
This is what happens when women stop abandoning themselves every time life gets busy.
DM me “COACHING” if you’re ready to build a stronger, healthier and more confident version of you.

The best!
Last week I finally went back over 80kg squats, which I haven’t done since falling pregnant with my second son. Just over a year later I was adding a few extra plates on the bar and it. Felt. Amazing!!
Working my way back up 😊

This week is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week and we’re diving deep into the foundations of what Lindsay Jay Fit is about.
No filters. No toxic positivity. No pretending that pregnancy and early motherhood are what they seem. It can be downright brutal, lonely, terrifying and it can sometimes feel there’s no way out.
And what’s more - most of your loved ones will never know it was you.
The worst thing about it for me, was the consistently cheery groups and check-ups from peers and professionals cooing at the baby, whilst I was seriously wondering how I was going to do another night alone. But then you do, because you have to. And so it continues!
Follow along. Share with a mama who needs it.
And if this is you right now, please don’t sit with it alone. 🧡
