Actonians Badminton Club

Another season of Badminton comes to an end!!! With two teams entered in the Hounslow and Staines league, it has been an eventful season!

Thanks to everyone who took part this season!! And we will be back for another action packed season of league badminton in September 🏸💪

Hi all, some important news!!! In accordance to the new policies introduced by Badminton England, we are excited to introduce you all to our Club Welfare and Safeguarding Officer, Claire Fairbairn!!!

As Welfare Officer, Claire’s role is to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our members. So if you ever have any welfare issues, questions, or concerns, please feel free have a chat with them when you see them on a club night or get in touch with her directly via messages or email.

What better way to celebrate the start of the ‘Holiday Season’ than with out annual Actonians Christmas Party! It was an amazing evening!!! Thanks to everyone for turning up and for bringing down a delicious and varied collection of food!!!

Last Saturday, Actonians Badminton decided to try our hands at a different sport, Pickleball!!!

We had some excellent rallies and a lot of fun!!! So much fun that we forgot to take pictures during the session. But to make up for it, here is a picture of us having a well deserved post-session drink!!!

Another Season of Badminton has come to a close!!! Congratulations and thank you to all our players who took part in another great season, filled with some great victories and rallies in both the Open’s 4 and Hybrid’s 4 league!!!!

Now to enjoy the summer break before coming back even stronger for next season!!!!

Our annual trip to our favourite local Indian restaurant (formerly Jubraj, now under the name ‘Tokri’)!

It was a wonderful night of great food and even better company!!! Thank you to everyone who came down!

As a special January treat, we decided to swap our badminton rackets for pickleball padels for one Sunday evening!!!

Thanks to everyone who came down to make this a wonderful evening!! We will definitely be doing this again soon!!! What other sports should we try out next?!?!

What better way to start the new year than with some badminton!!! Especially at our new regular club night at a high hall! Here is hoping to a great, badminton filled year ahead!!

Starting this year, we will be adding a high hall session every Sunday between 4-6pm at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre. So we now offer 4 sessions a week! If you are interested, please feel free to get in touch!
