Sherpa Bear Coaching Carpenter, teacher, analogy & metaphor lover. Coach to experienced professionals. I help people catch their fish.

That is an analogy I came up with to describe someone who is thriving and the effect that has on their wider environment, whether that is their private life or work.

I work with private clients and senior management teams and business owners who come to trust me as the safe pair of hands who will spend time getting to know them and simply listen to what life is like for them. My clients gain real clarity on the goals they want to achieve, the obstacles that stand in their way and develop their own tool box of skills to be highly impactful and win at the game of life. I offer a range of coaching services to both private and corporate clients and I love to work face to face with people. Living in Poole that can result in walking sessions on the beach or in the forest and hills that surround the harbour but I am very happy to meet at the office or conduct a session over the phone or on Zoom. I work with people from a variety of backgrounds, industries and locations but what binds them together is that they chose to work with me and I with them. I am looking to align with my clients as people and with what they want to achieve in life and/ or business. I combine coaching and facilitation when working with businesses to help support the wellbeing of the individuals who are going to deliver the company goals. This helps to engineer more effective communication within senior management teams, allows productive and robust conversations to take place whilst maintaining unity and focus on common goals. Each person feels more supported, valued and enabled to succeed which encourages greater staff retention. This article also goes some way to explain my feelings about a coaching relationship. www.linkedin.com/pulse/analogy-coaching-rob-stewart/

Where do you go do create a shift in how you feel?

Places often anchor us to certain feelings and memories that we hold dear but they can be an elixir of change when we feel the need for something different.

I feel drawn to certain places for different reasons and they help me not only shift how I feel but I find a library of new perspectives and ideas by being somewhere a bit different.

Where do you go to create that shift in yourself?

How do you connect with nature and with family members you have lost?

Leavinia had a great energy when she spoke about her love for the outdoors in Wiltshire and recalled fun memories about her father.

Can a real knock to your confidence actual help you gain it back once more?

Madeleine shows us that is in fact true and how taking the bull by the horns has helped her chase what she is passionate about.

A young farm boy from Ireland travelled the world using sport.

Tom took me on a tangent as we explored his amateur sporting days.

Humble and numerous, Tom told a good story that I was happy to capture for posterity.

What skills do you require to take you on your next adventure?

Despite losing his wife, Tom still feels the Ripples she sent through is life.

He also reflected on the impact he had on her.

This was a short yet impactful interview and I felt privileged to have met with and talked to Tom.

His eyes were hidden and his ear pods were in. What this man a good candidate to interview?

I am so glad I stopped because he offered some great insights on the impacts that occur between those closest to us who come from far away.

And, he was very friendly and good fun to interview. Thank you.

Why do people choose the communities they join?

As part of The Ripple series, I interviewed James Rufus to understand the community he has developed around his gym, 180 Strength in Poole, Dorset

This is a story about following your dreams, changes, acknowledging the impact others have on us and realising what ripples we send out into the lives of those around us.

Over the next few videos, you’ll discover what ‘180’ do, why they do it, and how it impacts the lives of their clients. What you’ll find is a community built on something deeper than fitness.

Subscribe my YouTube channel (Sherpa Bear Coaching) to follow the full 180 Strength series. Drop a comment if any of it lands with you.

We re-set computers
We re-set cars
We re-set lots of things in our lives but when it comes to yourself, how do you press the reset button.

Here’s how I do it ***er

We all love a good short cut

When it comes to having a desired impact on the world there might be an short cut.

It seems that way when I look back on the last few interviews I have done.

How do you feel about this shortcut?
Have you tried it?
Does it work on you?

“I don’t know.”, Is a great answer and it invites more investigation and consideration.

What I hope is that Ann-Marie, and my other interviewees walk away with more questions than I have asked. I hope it prompts more conversations and helps them carve out moments to reflect.

What if we all look back from our boat and see The Ripple we leave behind us?
