So I have a ruptured tendon in my little finger which means I cannot straighten the end of the finger and it has a cast to keep it from bending.
This means that the grip in my left hand is a problem. I bought a pair of weight lifting hooks to help with my grip.
Now I am able to do pull-ups while keeping my finger protected.

This is where the love for the game started for me. This is the first team I ever played for and I loved it.
Now I’m 40 and the love for the game is as strong as ever. I’m now working towards joining a team again and seeing how my maturity will effect my game.

A great go to for increasing strength is negative reps.
This is where you take a weight a bit over what you can lift and you only complete the negative. As here I am just trying to let the bar down as slowly as possible.
It teaches your body to handle this weight and eventually lift it.

Sprints today
I have re-introduced explosiveness 🧨 and speed 🏃🏾 to my training and it feels great. There is an immense release when doing such training.

Working the flys on the bench today. 💥
Both standing and on the bench are great exercises to do. On the bench there is less momentum possible which means that you will focus on the chest more.
The downside to this, is that you will not be able to lift as much as you can standing. 🤔
Both are great, but understanding the differences helps.

This was after smashing heavy flat bench press.

And there we go persistance pays off. 145kg, new PB💥😃😃😃🤩🤩
I’ve been getting these lifts in twice a week to build that strength and finally got past the 140kg mark.
Next up 150kg

My client getting it done with 60kg deadlifts.🦾🦾💪🏾💪🏾
Deadlifts are a great exercise that everyone should have in their weekly workouts. 🏋🏾‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️🏋🏾Romanian, sumo, single leg etc deadlifts are also great. As long as your getting them in weekly it will do you a world 🌎 of good.
