Junior Cricket Awards Day 2026 🏆🏏

What a fantastic afternoon celebrating another brilliant season of junior cricket at Purley Sports Club!

It was wonderful to bring our players, coaches, managers and families together to recognise the hard work, commitment and achievements of our junior teams throughout the season. From the U11s to the U18s, we’re incredibly proud of everyone who has represented the club 👏

We also took a special moment to remember cricket manager, Verne, who sadly passed away unexpectedly just two weeks ago. With Sarah and Jacob joining us, we remembered Verne with a minute’s applause celebrating the kindness, enthusiasm and support he gave to so many young people, both on and off the cricket pitch 💙

The Verne-Bruce Sylvester Memorial Award was presented to Luca Lagos-Sewell — recognised not only for his performances with bat and ball, but for being a supportive teammate, respectful opponent and fantastic sportsman.

Congratulations, Luca, and a huge well done to all our junior cricketers on another memorable season! 🏏👏

🏏 CRICKET WINTER NETS ARE BACK!

Our winter cricket programme starts Monday 21st September at John Fisher School, with sessions running every Monday and Tuesday evening.

Sessions are available for U7s through to U15s, with groups organised by age and school year.

Please note: there will be a 3-week break in October, with no sessions on 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th or 27th October.

What an INCREDIBLE Summer we’ve had here at Purley ☀️

Filled with outdoor BBQs, rackets tournaments, the World Cup!!, new cardio machines in our gym, cricket camps, summer kids camps, netball, bowls, an amazing team, our car show and so much more all in the beautiful sunshine!

We are now moving into our autumn season, the bowls green has closed and we will start short mat bowls, the grass courts have closed and are preparing for next season, cricket nets are closed now too and we are ready for some incredible events we have coming up including race night this Friday (11th) and our comedy night on October 2nd.

Come down and check us out, and join for an equally as exciting autumn & winter at Purley 🤩
