What if, as summer comes to an end, what we need isn’t a new start again…

but a little less noise?

I’ve been thinking a lot about all the things that can come between us and our bodies. Not just sugar or stress, but the constant stream of information, advice, supplements, gadgets, protocols and things we feel we should be doing to be healthier.

Sometimes these things genuinely help. I know, because I’ve used many of them myself.

But I wonder what happens when the space they create is immediately filled with something else.

What if we used that space to actually listen?

I’ve written more about this in my latest Substack, Noise, including why I think we can so easily become “Shadow Seekers”, always looking for the next external thing that will finally fix us.

Perhaps the answer isn’t always another thing to add.

Perhaps sometimes it’s something to take away.

As we head towards the end of summer, what could you quieten in your life to create a little more space to hear yourself?

I’d love to know.

If something in this speaks to you, my next retreat takes place in the Swedish winter wilderness in January 2027.

A few days to unplug, slow down, reconnect with yourself and come home to yourself.

If you’re feeling the pull, you can find all the details via the link in my bio. 🌲❄️

The Hormone Reset! 21-days to immerse yourself in all things hormonal, support symptoms, feel better about yourself and more confident moving through cycles and changes. This is for all women - whether you are are pre-, peri- or post-menopausal. Knowledge is power and there are so many natural health interventions that can really help with or without birth control or HRT.

Nutrition and supplements are powerful, but I want to take a fully holistic approach to this because I am so aware that they don’t “fix” everything for everyone. If you’re struggling and feel like you’ve tried everything, I want you here!

It’s completely free to join my community and participate in everything happening live, and there will be the option of replays and additional resources as well.

This is a small group setting so don’t wait to join in, I will close the doors when we reach full so that those inside can rally get maximum benefit.

Can we talk about the slightly uncomfortable bit?

£2,000 is a lot of money. I know that.

The cost of living is very real, and I would never suggest that everyone can, or should, spend this much on a retreat. For many people, it simply isn’t possible right now.

But this post isn’t really about that.

It’s about the people who could afford it, but still find themselves saying:

“I can’t justify spending that much on myself.”

Because we’re often very good at justifying spending money on everyone and everything else.

The children. The house. Holidays. Things that make us look better. Things that make us more efficient. Things that make life easier for everyone else.

But something that’s simply, genuinely for us?

Suddenly we need a business case.

And perhaps that’s worth questioning.

This retreat is an investment in more than a week away. It’s a chance to recharge, reconnect with yourself, gain some perspective and return to everyday life with more clarity, energy and a deeper sense of your own worth.

And yes, it’s a pretty magical place to do it. ❄️✨

If £2,000 genuinely isn’t possible for you right now, that’s OK.

But if it is possible, and the only thing stopping you is that little voice saying “Surely I can’t spend that much on myself…”

Perhaps it’s worth listening to that voice.

Maybe you’ve just never been very good at putting yourself on the list.

❤️

Be honest: what is the thing you find easiest to justify spending money on, and what is hardest to justify spending on yourself?

I used to think healing meant finding the perfect diet.

The perfect supplements.

The perfect protocol.

If I could just get everything “right”, surely my body would finally settle down.

Instead, I became more anxious. More restricted. More disconnected from myself.

Ironically, my digestive symptoms improved for a while…

…but my life became much smaller.

What eventually changed wasn’t simply what I ate.

It was how I related to my body.

I stopped treating it as a problem to solve, and started becoming curious about what it might be trying to communicate.

Nutrition still matters. Sleep matters. Movement matters.

But I’ve found that lasting health often comes when we combine those physical foundations with something deeper: safety, self-compassion, nervous system regulation, and learning to listen rather than constantly override.

That’s become the heart of how I work today.

Not replacing nutrition.

Expanding it.

Because your body is far wiser than you’ve probably been taught to believe.

I’d love to know…

Has your body ever been trying to tell you something that only made sense in hindsight?
