4-Day Restorative Yoga Training
15 - 18 Oct 2026

Restorative Yoga is about more than relaxation.
Rest is a skill we need to cultivate, not simply something that happens when we stop.
This is where restorative yoga becomes powerful.
It's not just about the postures. It's about understanding: the body, the breath, the mind, the nervous system.
Restorative Yoga begins with awareness.
Learning to notice:
✨️breath
✨️sensations
✨️tension
✨️holding patterns
✨️stress responses
Awareness changes everything.
When we learn to notice what is happening within us, we create space to respond with greater awareness and choice. That's the power of Restorative Yoga.
In a world of constant stimulation, the ability to create space for rest, awareness and regulation is becoming an essential skill. This is why we developed our Restorative Yoga Training.
Our training is for...
✨️yoga teacher
✨️professionals supporting wellbeing
✨️Practitioners wanting to understand the practice more deeply

My July newsletter went out this morning, granted a little later than usual!
This month I'm exploring energy through both the science of mitochondria and the yogic understanding of prāṇa, and reflecting on how the way we work with our energy shapes our resilience and vitality.
If you would like to receive the newsletter you can sign up via my website.

A rare sighting of Marcos on Instagram!
Last weekend, Marcos completed the second year of his Osteopathy degree. After a demanding exam period, he has had first-hand experience of the body's stress response (including heightened cortisol) - which can increase muscle tension, affect sleep and slow recovery.
If you have had one of Marcos' soft tissue and remedial massage treatments you will know how skilled and technical his approach already is. As his knowledge continues to grow, so does the quality of his treatments, combining hands-on techniques with an ever deeper understanding of the human body.
You can book with Marcos every Tuesday via our website - and yes he has finally had time for a haircut!

I don't know about you, but I'm meeting more and more people who feel overwhelmed, distracted and exhausted. Even lying down and resting for 5 minutes can feel surprisingly challenging.
The conversation around health at the moment seems to be all about building strength and eating more protein - which is great, and honestly I try to do these things too - but I also think we've forgotten the value of conscious rest. As some of you may know, I am a massive fan of restorative yoga. It teaches us how to feel into how we really are, let go, and drop into stillness. Most of us aren’t practised at that anymore, we’re generally encouraged to do more, not less.
But when we do, something shifts. Mental clarity returns. We feel more resourced, less overwhelmed, less exhausted, and more able to meet life without constantly pushing against it. The benefits for our physical and mental health can be huge.
In today's world, it feels like something we would all benefit from practising more. It’s not passive - it's a skill and it feels hugely important right now.
That's part of why Ali Masterman, Dr Andrew McGonigle (Doctor Yogi) and I have called this year's restorative yoga training Teaching Stillness in a Restless World.
We'll be together in London from 15 - 18 October at the West London Buddhist Centre (with Andrew's anatomy sessions taught online), exploring how restorative yoga can help people find space to pause, rest deeply and reconnect with themselves.
Some people come because they want to add restorative yoga to their teaching. Others come because they want to reconnect with their own practice. Over the last couple of years we've welcomed newly qualified teachers, teachers with decades of experience, people who've completed other restorative trainings, and people who simply love the practice and want to explore it more deeply.
Whatever your story, you would be very welcome.
You can read more about the training on my website, and if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

I was very sad to hear that Robert Thurman passed away this morning.
I had the great honour of studying with him in person when he visited London last year and have enjoyed his podcasts and teachings for many years. He was an extraordinary human being who brought wisdom, fun and light to everything that he shared.
Thinking of his family.
Safe travels. Rest well.
