THE 1st England Argentine war July 1966. It was the quarter final of the world cup which England went on to win. The Argentinian team tried to bully their way through until a near riot was narrowly averted when an Argentine player was sent off. England went on to win byb a Geoff Hurst Goal. In the group stages England had beaten Mexico 2-0. England went on to win the World Cup. This year they are playing those teams again. Will history repeat itself

The 21-year-old has signed a contract through to 2033 and will join his new team-mates for pre-season under manager Xabi Alonso.

Palestra, who was named Serie A Defender of the Year last season, said: ‘A lot of things convinced me to join Chelsea, one of the best clubs in the world.
