Giving an old some VH love

Ciocc road bike recently built with lots of new and quality reconditioned parts including :

New headset, and sealed bottom bracket, Camoagnolo / Rigida wheelset

Shimano 600 gearing with 600 cranks with 53/43 front rings.

New chain, gear and brake cables, Shimano 600 brakes, Cinelli criterium bars and stem, Campagnolo aero seat stem, Selle San Marco leather saddle, Michelin Dynamic classic tyres.. I bought the frame and built up myself with the above parts. Rides and stops very well, and suits someone who is 5ft 7-5ft9 tall.

A beautiful bicycle with some great detailing especially on the fork shoulders and rear seat stays. Original paint and decals and has the usual wear you’d expect from a 36 year old frame..

Finally… it rides and handles beautifully and really looks the part on the road..

Time to move on a few frames that are now surplus stock. First this unusual late 1970s Rossin, size 50cm. Cosmetically it could do with a tidy up but personally I prefer a few battlescars. Dm me if you like the look of this it’s on EBay at £450

Summer is coming peeps!! These two single speed custom builds are still available, sizes 56cm and 57cm.. A couple of one off ladies vintage single speeds and geared versions will be available and I’m taking very limited custom build orders for the coming months. Been a while…!! This needed more work than a neglected 1970s roadbike… Literally everything was worn out or corroded / seized. Just waiting for a turbo saddle to finish off then it’s off to our customer..

Anquetil took five tdf victories from 1957, then 1961,-64, the first racing cyclist to win five times.

Custom sport 700c wheelset which has been laced with polished vintage large fl**ge Record hubs. They have had very light use but are effectively a new set of wheels with rebuilt vintage hubs. These were in stock for a while at VH and are now surplus stock so £350 buys them. Will be in the VH eBay store later or DM.

The birth of VH, 2010 pt1.. Just back from france with a haul of mainly bikes and a smattering of antique / industrial furniture and signage.. Racing bikes, Dutch bikes, (which were in demand at the time) and Porteurs, which I had never seen before but loved the style, also some complete wrecks which were stripped for parts.. Pre brexit, pre Tories, pre vintage bike mainstream boom..I sold half of these bikes in the following week and had a lot of fun stripping down all the worn out bikes and selling the parts.. The bubble burst around 2013 but it was good to be there at the start..
