The older I get, the more I realise life is really just about finding your people. The ones who cheer you on, make you laugh, and remind you not to take it all too seriously.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us this September, this might be your sign.

A few rooms have become available at the last minute, including a new triple room for just ÂŁ500 per person.

That’s around £100 a night for your accommodation, all your delicious meals, and a full weekend of yoga, qigong, meditation, and time to simply slow down. My conscious effort to make these spaces accessible for as many people as I can.

This retreat isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about creating enough space to hear yourself again.

To move without rushing.
To eat well.
To laugh with new friends around the dinner table.
To spend time in nature.
To rest without feeling guilty.

If you’ve been craving a weekend that leaves you feeling calmer, lighter, and more connected, I’d love to welcome you.

Digital detox + Qigong & Yoga Retreat = Happy Rory

A rather windy few days by the sea side, clearing away all the cobwebs. What a dream and beautiful time. Thanks to Jeannie Hall Mimi Kuo-Deemer for holding space while I took a step back and enjoyed some time away.

I know I like retreats but I’m always blown away by the peace and clarity they bring. But most of all the wonderful community of people it brings together. Thank you to every person that made it so special.

I barely spent any time in my phone. Fully disconnected but plugged into the present moment. Just a handful of snaps I took

This week I’m turning my phone into a brick. No internet, no social media. Just real life (and calls and texts for emergencies).

I have the great joy of joining a yoga retreat today and was inspired by a recent article I read to tie in a digital detox too.

It talked about the effects of social media and phone usage on our brains. I’m sure this isn’t new information for you but as someone who uses their phone a lot for work and fun, plus a history with depression and anxiety. I am keen to put boundaries to things that can bring on any symptoms.

Lately, I’ve become aware of how much I’m using my phone. Anywhere between 4-5 hours a day. Sometimes when I finally put it down, I feel a foggy-ness. My attention is scattered and I’m not able to do anything, my thoughts are not clear, and I’m left wondering how I’m going to complete simple tasks. Has anyone else ever felt the same?

I also realise while writing all this to you on social media it is very ironic….

However, it’s something I often talk about in classes, finding balance.

These tools allow us to connect, learn, create, and stay in touch with our communities. Amazing! But it becomes a problem when it takes up more space in your life than actually *being* in person with your community.

So I’m stepping away for the next 5 days and seeing, when there’s less noise, what can grow.

See you on the other side 🌀
