While everyone’s been enjoying their Easter break, QUEEM fencers and alumnis made the yearly trek to Birmingham to see the sights (ofc) and do a bit of fencing... shoutout to women’s cap Tamara who WON the whole thing.

After a successful unbeaten season, the men’s team are the WINNERS of the South Eastern Conference Cup, winning against Imperial 3s 122-102!!! HUGE congratulations on 1st place🥇🥇

🏆BUCS INDIES🏆

The long awaited BUCS indies post has arrived! Valentines weekend was well spent by QMBL fencing as we made our yearly trek up to Sheffield for BUCS indies. We have a lot to show for it, with not 1, not 2, but THREE medals won🥳

Day 1: Sophia in the women’s epee made a strong start to the weekend, securing 2nd place 🥈.

Day 2: Damla in the women’s sabre, finishing 17th.

Day 3: 2 more QUEEM medals were secured by our captains, with Jacob winning bronze🥉 in the men’s sabre and Tamara becoming women’s foil 2026 BUCS CHAMPION!!! HUGE congratulations on achieving the club’s best BUCS individual result!

🏆M1 ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE🏆

Recently, the men had their final match of the season (and of tier 2) with an away match against Portsmouth. A 135-77 win means the men are not only UNDEFEATED, but move up to tier 1- a fantastic achievement ! The tower of beer to celebrate was much deserved.

🤺WEEKEND RECAP🤺

On the last weekend of January the girls travelled to Exeter for the second round of matches to finish off this year’s Prem. A huge effort and commitment was put in by all, ending up with 4 out of 5 matches won and putting us second in the league!

Thankfully, on day 1 we were allowed a lie-in, facing Exeter and Bath in the afternoon.
