✨ We are incredibly excited to welcome Adrian Del Arroyo Adrian Del Arroyo to The Playground. ✨
Adrian is a dance director, writer, and producer whose choreographic practice is rooted in spirituality, healing, unity, and wisdom. Drawing inspiration from classical and contemporary dance, flamenco, Spanish Baroque traditions, martial arts, and ancient ritual, Adrian creates deeply atmospheric and thought-provoking work.
During this special research and development session, participants will explore material from ‘Dead Blue’, Adrian’s latest creation. Through movement, gesture, voice, storytelling, and live music, dancers will investigate themes of ancient knowledge, resonance, and human connection.
Adrian will be joined by his associate composer, Louis La Porte Louis, who will lead a short voice workshop before accompanying the session live.
Louis is an interdisciplinary composer and dancer, creating neoclassical soundscapes, and electronic music for dance workshops and live performances. His work draws inspiration from artists such as Arvo Pärt and GoGo Penguin, as well as spacious house music and geometric patterns.
Expect an evening of exploration, imagination, live music, and embodied storytelling unlike any other.

✨ We are delighted to welcome Richard Chappell Richard Chappell Dance and Marla King .d to The Playground. ✨
Together, they will share insights into the creation process of Us Folk, Richard Chappell Dance’s latest production. Rooted in nature, community, and the power of social dancing, Us Folk reimagines folk traditions for a more inclusive and hopeful present.
Participants will explore how the spiralled nature of RCD’s contact work and floor work intersects with social dancing patterns and activities, offering a unique opportunity to experience the company’s creative process first-hand.
While everyone is welcome, this session will be particularly valuable for embodied professional dancers interested in exploring choreographic process and collaborative practice.
We can’t wait to welcome Richard and Marla to The Playground and spend an evening exploring movement, connection, and community together.

We’re so excited to welcome Choreographer Attila Andrási and musician Jo Thomas to The Playground this Friday ✨
Attila (he/they) is a Hungarian, London-based dance artist and practice-led researcher whose work spans choreography, somatics, and neurodivergent perception. Their work explores rhythm, atmosphere, embodied attention, and sensory awareness through slow and immersive movement practices.
For this Playground session, Attila will guide participants through a deeply attentive movement practice focused on minor gesture, sensory detail, and subtle rhythmic shifts through the body. Working individually and in pairs, the session welcomes all levels, particularly those drawn to slow processes, rich sensory experience, and embodied exploration ✨
Joining Attila is the wonderful Jo, composer, musician, artist and dancer whose work has been presented internationally across sound art, experimental music, and performance. In 2012, Jo received a Golden Nica in Sound Art from Prix Ars Electronica for her work Crystal Sounds of the Synchrotron.
