Here we build on top of the previous combo adding elbows and knees to it.

Just a bit of fun. People often ask how I stay warm between sessions often it’s messing about with the nunchucks just keeping the shoulders warmed up and tracking my hand eye coordination. They are a totally rubbish weapon practically. But they are good fun to play with. The sword or staff would be my primary choice and the knife as a solid alternative. Let me know if you’d like more weapons content or if you prefer the boxing and Thai boxing. Also let me know if you’d rather I’d did or didn’t put music on the videos.

Here we add on some extras to this sequence. Also highlighting some details. The first step slip and slide we throw a hook to a cross. If the opponent registers this (which he should he’s just been punched in the face twice that’s a good incentive to be aware of it), then then next time we do a step slip and slide he should already be protecting the side of his head from the predicted hook. This leaves his chin available for the uppercut then cross. So do something successfully and make them take defensive measures that open them up elsewhere. Also the add on of the inside slip of the jab into a lead uppercut, step slip their cross into a hop shift to your left. Great to have options to go left or right. Listen to the lyrics in the track too. There are some gems in development for boxing I left a text prompt for particularly useful things. But really the whole track reinforces good boxing development and iq.

Great work from our southpaw brothers Charlie and Ollie working some complex footwork patterns and slightly unorthodox options for southpaws to fight moving left not right. Also listen to the lyrics in the track I made some genuinely good combat advice contained. I’m tempted to create a YouTube playlist if you’d like work out music that educates your fight iq too. Comment below if you’d like to hear the full versions.

It was kind of the wutang clan to write a track about black belt boxing wasn’t it. Ok I may have got carried away with ai music again. Haha. But check this combo out look at the overhead view that plays after the initial part of the video and see how much movement is integrated into the sequence and in almost every sequence. Footwork is key even if .red.13 doesn’t believe it to be true. lol. Thankfully is showing how important and effective it is. Great work as always from Joe.

If you’ve trained at the gym you will have seen one or more of these floofy ladies looking in or trying to climb in through the window to join the session. This is also one of the reasons I mop and hoover after every session not just the workout sweat but the cat fluff haha. Next time you are training and you see this lovely pair feel free to say hi to Luna she’s the little black panther or Beauty she’s the black and white tuxedo with the beauty spot on her nose. Both super friendly and really chilled.

A smooth combo here focusing on drawing the cross and countering with a check hook and working angles to limit what can come back at you and when.

This is the context where the combo not acquiring angles is correct. If you ah e somebody against the ropes and create and angle to the side (either left or right) you just have them an escape route. By staying in the 50/50 but maintaining your distance (not smothering your work) you are free to strike. I like to get to my range where I can just reach their guard an harass their guard. Either making them throw then countering their punch or to make them shell up and create openings for me to work. Like this in this mindset is a great one to practice on the bag. Equally have your partner or coach move and follow them cutting off their escape.

Combining ideas from two great coaches Bang Muay Thai’s Duane Ludwig and Coach Barry Robinson. Working the 2 thirty sequence from BMT but adding in some calls from Barry Robinsons reactive mitts. This is moving forwards which I don’t usually recommend as it keeps you in a 50/50 and means both you and your opponent can strike, but it has its place if you’ve either already acquired positional advantage or if your defence is so solid you can move forwards under the protection of your shots and you want to push your opponent back. Personally I’d use the sequence in combination with moving left or right first then going forwards, or on the retreat then holding.
