***NEWS*** I’m delighted to share that I’m on the verge of jumping into a new chapter. In January I’ll move into a very exciting role, back in corporate world, where I’ll get to wear both my Marketing and Coaching hats.

As you can imagine this is not a decision that I’ve taken lightly but it feels right and I must listen to that.

I can’t express how much I will miss my Coaching business and everything that comes with it, including my incredible clients over the years and this brilliant community here.

I’ll sign off with my favourite quote…

“What if I fall?" Oh but my darling, What if you fly?”

I have every intention of flying high ❤️

The 3️⃣things you need to know to stop self generating stress and fear…

👉 We can get really good at creating FICTION

Basically, we make stuff up!

➡️ This can be down to our self limiting beliefs e.g. I’m rubbish at making new friends, I can’t make a decision or I don’t have enough confidence.

➡️ We can take things personally and jump to conclusions and make assumptions by linking meaning to something which is unfounded. E.g. they haven’t replied to my invitation the day I sent it which means they don’t want to come.

➡️ We let our inner voice get stuck in negative mode. E.g. ‘I’m never going to be able to be able to do this’ or ‘I always mess up big stuff’ or ‘this is too hard’.

I encourage my coaching clients to always check what is fact and what is fiction and check if you are allowing negative mental chatter to flow.

Working with a coach is a great way to learn techniques so you can stop this cycle. 😉

5 takeaways from my session at Spring & Autumn Fair today:

1. Our brains are hardwired to run from uncertainty as it perceives it as danger.

2. We have an emotional brain and a rational brain.

3. If we’re not careful we can be emotionally hijacked.

4. If you stay in your comfort zone you’ll stagnant and become less and less likely to move out of it.

5. Resilience is your superpower. In other words, learn how to ride the waves because they’re going to keep on coming.

Don’t be fooled that Burnout will only happen when you’re doing things that you don’t enjoy.

**Burnout happens when you are overloaded and you run out of fuel**

👉 Take notice.
Dedicate some time to answer these questions…

How are you feeling right now? What are you struggling with? What would serve you well right now?

Maybe grab a notepad to help you get everything out of your head.

👉 Remember “You can do anything but not everything”.

Try to be realistic. You aren’t a computer that you can simply plug in extra capacity. You have limits.

What do you really want to achieve? Where do you want to spend your time? What adjustments can you make?

👉 Talk to someone.
Find someone you trust and explain where you’re at.

Even if it feels tough at first, you’ll be amazed how helpful it is.

DM me if you can’t think of anyone right now.

👉 Don’t panic. You can get on top of this.

Comfort zones are safe and cosy BUT…

🎯 If you want to make progress, hit new milestones and learn new things, you’ll need to step outside of your comfort zone.

😱 I know that stepping out of your comfort zone it’s scary. You can feel wobbly! It’s easy to start talking yourself out of doing new things.

👉 My advice TAKE BABY STEPS and ASK FOR SUPPORT.

You don’t have to take huge strides or go it alone.

💥 Stop hiding in your safe zone... that’s when the good stuff happens!

Woah!!!!! I had no idea how much I needed that time out.

This is the first year since I set up my business that I haven’t worked on holiday.

Before I’ve worked whilst away because I’ve WANTED to. Because I’ve been struck with great ideas once my mind slowed down. I’ve wanted to keep present in my business.

BUT this year that didn’t happen. I’ll admit, at first I panicked. Anyone who is self employed will be familiar (to some degree) with that sense of needing to “keep things ticking over” when away from their business.

Then a few days in, I decided to lean into it. The result…

I’m coming back excited to pick things up again, see my clients, get stuck into a couple of exciting projects.

I am totally rested and wearing a slightly different perspective which feels interesting.

Which ever way you roll with working/not working on holiday if it works for you. GO WITH IT 💃

📔 Grab a notebook (a NEW one if you have one handy) and on the first page write... HELLO AUGUST.

I’m looking forward to our time together because this month I will.... YOU FILL IN THE BLANKS.

🖊 Write 5-10 intentions you have for this coming month.

👉Be realistic but be ambitious!

👉Remember this is you declaring your intentions. Welcoming the new month.

👉It’s not a to-do list or a list to measure your success and failure by at the end of the month.

Let go of that pressure and allow yourself to embrace this opportunity to focus your energy for the weeks ahead.

🤯 WANT TO STOP WORRY & ANXIETY?

👉 MY CHALLENGE TO YOU… Shift your focus from yesterday, later today or tomorrow.

🗣 GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE PAST: Your self talk loves to replay all the stuff that’s not gone so well.

These events and situations have already occurred and there is absolutely nothing we can do about them. By rehashing what’s happened triggers regret and fear which is a hook for worry.

🗣 GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE FUTURE: When you think about potential outcomes and consequences, it’s easy to Catastrophise.

👉You can get pretty imaginative dreaming up the worst possible scenarios and then dwell on them.

👉You then become anxious and fearful about what may or may not happen in the future.

💥 Worry simply can’t exist when you are in THE PRESENT MOMENT

🔑 Being present opens up a whole new world of freedom. The past is gone forever and the future is uncertain.

The only moment we have power over is the current moment.
