Captain & Vice Captain charity day winners and a do at the golf club isn’t a do without a sing song from Richard Posner! Lots of money made for the two charities - MS Society and Colnbrook School…..even Cliff had to be seen holding an Arsenal shirt!

Captain & Vice Captain charity golf day started off in the sunshine but the wind and rain had other ideas for the day; that wasn’t going to stop 120 members from playing today! They could buy 2 drives from Antoni Hawkins on the 1st tee which looked to go miles and then try to get inside the shot on the 3rd green from two of our talented juniors (only 12 out of 120 got inside their shots!)

Captain/Vice Captain charity day - started off with some sunshine but the wind and rain soon took over. That didn’t stop 120 members playing in a shotgun start, followed by a BarBQ from the kitchen and dessert supplied by the ice cream van! A do wouldn’t be a do without Richard Posner and his mate with a sing song. Lots of money raised for Peter and Cliff’s charities - MS Society and Colnbrook School. Fab day at a fab club ⛳️

Today we played the inaugural match between Sandy Lodge Golf Club and Artisans v Littlestone Golf Club and Artisans for the “Lodgestone” cup. 12 a side with 6 members from each of the main clubs and 6 from each of the Artisans Clubs. Brilliant match and the start of great camaraderie between the two clubs. SLGC won 4-2 ⛳️

We all feel that Sandy Lodge is a champion club for many reasons but now it’s official! Well done to Adam Berg-Capin, Antoni Hawkins and Nick Curran - a trio of superstars 🤩🤩🤩 winning the Hertfordshire Golf Men’s Champion Club final yesterday

Meet Nouri, daughter of a couple of our members who is just the cutest little girl in her Masters outfit ⛳️ she is clearly a future junior member at Sandy Lodge Golf Club!

The finalists for the Sandy Lodge Golf Club ‘Masters Waistcoat’ competition. A 4 day event whereby members can enter a Stableford competition on Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat with the winner of each day in the final 4 ball this morning. Well done to the finalists (left to right) Eugene, Scott, Shayan and Prashant. May the best man win 🏆

Another great day at the club for the annual Ireland v The Rest match. 96 players who were treated to blue skies and sunshine fought hard for their side but in the end it was a draw so Ireland retained the trophy! Great company, great dinner and how about these super talented Irish Dancers! Nearest the Pin won by Billy Boland, Club Captain Peter handing over the trophy to Captain of the Irish team, Fintan and a fond farewell to Kieron and David who are off to pastures new. Slainte ☘️

We are recruiting for a Golf Services Manager at Sandy Lodge Golf Club. A beautiful inland links course in Northwood built on sand so we are open all year round.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

* Providing an excellent service to members and visitors for our Club Golfing Events and Golf Society Days.

* Competition administration - to administer club competitions, ensure accurate record keeping with timely announcements. A good understanding of golf rules and knowledge of handicapping formulas etc.

* Driving Range management - oversee the management of this facility and the team involved.

* To be involved with updating social media platforms by creating engaging content to members and the wider golfing community.

* To sit on the Greens and Junior committees.

Skills / experience

* A passion for golf and a good understanding of golf operations.
* Previous experience in competition administration and organising golf societies is advantageous.
* A good working knowledge and understanding of the Intelligent Golf software
