Such a honour to have TRX Trainer in one of our classes on Sunday. Obviously quite the natural to this unique and wonderful form of aerial yoga. We hope to have you back again soon!
TRX can be considered almost the little brother of our type of Aerial Yoga as there is so much transferable moves, poses and exercises that can be used on the equipment especially when moving from the realms of yoga into fitness.
Pose: One-Legged Forearm Scorpion Pose aka Eka Pada Paripurna Vrschikasana

Welcome to the Fold. A Gentle Forward Fold that is with the feet in the bottom handles.
A great pose to come into after an inversion or exercises that have increased the heart rate. A Gentle Forward Fold like this helps calm the body down and settle it.
Rest the head on the crossed arms to be more passive or let the head hang in between to stretch the neck more. To work the hamstrings slide the arms closer to the feet and/or kick into the handles actively.

What's in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...
We are happy to announce a name change for our classes .space to Hang Out Aerial Yoga from Aerial Yoga Trapeze.
After consulting many students we decided to make this change as found the word "trapeze" was misleading and in some cases off putting especially to newer students who think it's a circus class when actually the practice can be quite accommodating for a range of ages, body types and abilities.
Hopefully Hang Out Aerial Yoga says exactly what it is on the tin and we'd love to get your feedback on this. Current classes 11:15am Saturday's (ex. first Saturday of every month) are open level but we want to have both Beginner and Dynamic classes back on the schedule soon!
Pose: Sky Child (formally Chicken Wings 🤣)
Transition from: Full Inversion to Sky Child

Is how we see ourselves different to how we are?
Yoga helps balance the body, mind and breath connection that often has a positive outcome for our perception of self and also reality.
Aerial Yoga encourages exploration even further into the body, mind and breath connection during its practice as still parts often involves inversions of a gravity defying nature. However, it is also good to include parts in the practice that re-ground and connect back to the earth to further provide balance.
