September is bringing TWO exciting opportunities for young writers at Accomplish Press! ✍️📚

For children who are discovering their creativity, learning how to build stories and developing confidence as writers, there's our Creative Writing Club.

And for ambitious young writers who are already comfortable writing and are ready to tackle something bigger — like a novel, series or substantial manuscript — there's the new Young Author Accelerator.

Different stages. Different support. The same belief that a young person's ideas deserve to be taken seriously.

Explore our Young Writers programmes and find the right next step for your child.

A notebook, a pen and a little fresh air can be the beginning of something wonderful✍️.

Writing doesn’t always have to happen at a desk or feel like another school assignment. Encourage your child to take their notebook somewhere they enjoy and simply write about the people they see, the sounds around them, an imaginary adventure, or whatever comes to mind.

When writing feels free and personal, creativity has room to flourish.

Hello parent! Does your 10 to 15-year old have notebooks full of stories? Do they invent characters, write little books, create imaginary worlds or suddenly announce a plot idea over dinner?

That interest is worth nurturing.

The Accomplish Press Creative Writing Club gives young writers a regular space to develop their storytelling skills, experiment with ideas, receive constructive feedback and grow in confidence alongside other children who love writing too.

Our new term begins 12th and 13th September and new students can start with a free trial session.

Your child doesn’t need more homework or another pointless after-school activity. They need somewhere their imagination is taken seriously. ✍🏾📚

Before you turn the first page, do you check the reviews: or would you rather read the book first and compare your thoughts afterwards? 📖

There’s no wrong answer. Some readers love knowing what others thought before they begin. Others prefer to experience the story with completely fresh eyes.

This or that?
🟡 Reviews first
🟢 Read first, compare later

Tell us your reading habit in the comments: and share this with someone who always has a book on the go! 👇

Hello parent! Is your young writer struggling to get a scene onto the page? Invite them to act it out first.

You don’t need costumes or a long performance. A few minutes of movement can help your child discover what the character wants, feels, or might do next.

They might:
🟡 Walk like the character
🟡 Show the character’s reaction
🟡 Use a simple gesture or movement
🟡 Speak one line of dialogue aloud

The most important part is to let your child lead. Don’t correct the performance or take over the story. Ask gentle questions such as, “What did your character notice?” or “What should happen next?” Your child remains the author and makes the final decisions.

A little movement can inspire a vivid scene, but your child’s voice should always stay at the centre.

If you're a parent or guardian supporting a young writer, you should definitely check out or Young Writers Hub! - https://accomplishpress.com/young-writers/

One more video. One more game. One more scroll. 📱 Before you know it, an hour has disappeared.

Screens are part of our children’s world, and the goal doesn’t have to be getting rid of them completely. It’s about creating balance. A little intentional screen-free time can make room for writing, reading, drawing, imagining and simply being bored enough to create something new💡.

Less mindless scrolling. More intentional creating.
