Our auditions for September 2025 entry to the London Junior and Senior Ballet programmes will be held on Sunday 1st June and Sunday 7th September

We provide advanced ballet training for ages 7 - 18. Weekly classes are held in Chiswick on Sundays during term time

The end of a very busy Summer term at London Junior and Senior Ballet!

From the youngest students in our Junior Foundation class right through to our Graduates, everyone has worked exceptionally hard this year, and we hope everyone has a well deserved break over the Summer ready for classes to start again on 22nd September

London Junior and Senior Ballet welcome applications for our advanced ballet training programme for 7 to 18 years, running each Sunday during term time

Our next auditions will be held on Sunday 8th September at Arts Educational School in Chiswick. Scholarship auditions, for students entering academic year 10 and above will be held on the same date

LJSB Easter Course update - Denise Whiteman

We are excited to confirm that Denise Whiteman, Director of Dance Training at Elmhurst School for Ballet, will be teaching on our Easter course

2nd - 4th April at Arts Educational School in Turnham Green, London

Here is her bio:

Denise Whiteman: Has had an exciting eclectic mix of dance training and roles as both a professional dancer and teacher/director.

A dancer with London City Ballet and numerous Musical Theatre productions as well as on TV, Denise was invited to be the Associate Choreographer to Gillian Lynne on the inaugural UK tour of Phantom of the Opera.

Denise taught at many vocational schools, such as Doreen Bird College, Hammond School, Northern Ballet School and Northern School of Contemporary Dance before joining Elmhurst School for Ballet where she is now the Director of Dance Training.

Denise was also responsible with Lynn Wallis, (the then Artistic Director of RAD) for the filming of the RAD vocational work and subsequently the Repertoire Syllabus.

She has knowledge in the training of young dancers at the highest level of vocational standards to professionals and will be inspirational for our young dancers.

Easter Course Guest Teacher - Danielle Cato

We are thrilled that Danielle Cato will be joining us for the Easter Course her energy and enthusiasm for dance is infectious and she has huge amounts of stage and screen experience!

Danielle's bio:

Trained at RBS (White Lodge & Upper Schools) and Laine Theatre Arts. Finalist in ‘So you think you can Dance’, a stunning dancer of numerous Ballet, West End and touring productions, hugely knowledgeable in ballet, jazz and musical theatre genres. Danielle has often appeared on TV, most recently in 42nd Street.

Easter Course Guest Teacher - Abbie Pillans

Some of our students already know Abbie as she has taught many classes for Dance Gems

Abbie is a graduate from Ballet West and then latterly the Laban Institute. She performed in UK and had several commissioned works created on her. She has performed works by Sir Kenneth MacMillan and Robert Cohen. Abbie is a keen choreographer as well as a ballet and contemporary teacher for young dancers. She is the Deputy Director for Dance Gems in Wimbledon and also works in a freelance capacity with several other organisations.
