Born on this day in 1872: Sri Aurobindo, the revolutionary who became a sage.
He spent his early years fighting for India's freedom, and a year in prison changed the direction of his life. From his ashram in Pondicherry he developed Integral Yoga, the idea that spiritual life is not an escape from the world but a transformation of it, and wrote Savitri, a poem of nearly 24,000 lines about the soul's journey. He is one of the sages our yoga and ta**ra courses draw on.
Different teachers, different centuries, one destination.

Day five of Karma Yoga Week. 🌿
Today's theme was detachment in action. You have a right to perform your duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. So we give our best, whether it is washing dishes or writing emails, infuse the work with love, and let the results take care of themselves.
New courses and our free Open Day both land in September. Link in bio.
Day four of Karma Yoga Week. 🌿
Today's theme was play. The one who plays will learn, and the one who plays will not be exhausted. When we remember it is all a game, work stops draining us and starts teaching us.
New courses and our free Open Day both land in September. Link in bio.

"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye" 🌹
A line from The Little Prince that inspired us during Karma Yoga Week 🥰 The value of our work lives in the love we put into it, not in what shows on the surface.
