Our very own Johnny Bayamungu recently spoke to BBC London about his incredible journey - from wondering if he’d ever play football again to representing England and lifting the Transplant World Cup trophy after a 5–1 win over Spain.

Now a PE teacher and part of the KICK team, Johnny continues to use sport to encourage and inspire young people.

🏆 WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our very own Johnny B, who recently won the Transplant World Cup with England! 🏴

England battled their way through the tournament, beating Colombia, the Netherlands and Italy before a thrilling 6–4 semi-final victory, with Johnny scoring the winning goal!
•
Then came the final, where England secured the trophy with a brilliant 5–1 win over Spain. Johnny also scored or contributed in most of the games, starting the final as the number 10.
