Forgiveness isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it looks like:
* giving second chances
* repairing friendships
* apologising when we get things wrong
* choosing patience over punishment
* and recognising that we’re all still learning.

CEO Joe Lowther shares the heart behind KICK:
We exist to bring hope to children and young people who feel hopeless and joy to their present and future. Through sport and support, we’re working to transform lives - personally, socially, and spiritually.

KICK Quality Lead, , recently attended powerful training on tackling violence at its root and supporting young people more effectively. One of the biggest takeaways: relationships matter before results.

Young people don’t need more judgment - they need consistency, patience, safe spaces, and adults who genuinely care. Sometimes the greatest impact isn’t solving every issue, but listening well, staying present, and helping them discover their strengths.

We may not always see immediate change, but every encouraging conversation plants a seed. 🌱
For anyone working with young people: keep showing up. It matters more than you know.

Thank you, Joe, for sharing these valuable reflections from the training.

🌟 KICK Value of the Month: Forgiveness 🌟

This May, we’re focusing on Forgiveness - valuing your relationships and friendships above arguments or always needing to be right.

Forgiveness means:
✔ Listening to others, even when you disagree
✔ Understanding how your actions may affect others
✔ Knowing you can disagree and still be friends
✔ Saying sorry when you’ve done wrong
✔ Accepting an apology and moving forward

At KICK, we encourage our learners to build strong relationships through empathy, respect, and kindness - because teamwork grows when people choose understanding over conflict.

This month’s challenge:
💭 Can you put the friendship before the argument?
