WHICH HOCKEY CAMP?
Mini Camp for school years 1 to 6 – A fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities in school years 1-6
Junior camp for school years 7-9 – A course for developing skills and gameplay for players in school years 7-9.
Performance & GK Camps – Advanced high intensity training for outfield players and GKs at representative levels in school years 8-13.
Junior Group Sessions 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 – Led by one of the Southgate Coaching team (requests possible if available) for individual or small group work working on specific needs or more individual support. For players aged 5 to 16.
Performance Group Sessions 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 – A chance to work on specific skills and gain tips from Prem or International standard players/coaches from Southgate HC. For players aged 13 to 18.

PITCHES FOR HIRE - 2026/27 SEASON

As well as being the home for our hockey and running clubs, our sports facilities are available for the whole community to use. Our pitches are available for hire on a regular basis, or for one-off tournaments, events and sports camps. We can cater for many other sports and activities, such as softball, archery and orienteering. You might want combine your sport activities with hire of our clubhouse and catering facilities.

Water-based pitch
The brand new water based pitch, is an international-standard hockey pitch. It is available to hire for hockey and for children’s under 12s football.

Sand-dressed multi-purpose pitch
Our second pitch is a high quality sand-dressed astro. It is a multi-purpose surface, typically used for hockey, football or rugby, but can be used for other activities such as general training, quick cricket etc.

We have pitch availability before 6pm on all days except Wednesday.
Time slots are subject to availability.

The pitches are also available to hire during the day.

Why Are Southgate Residential Camps Different?
We know there are a number of hockey camps out there, but here is why we believe ours is a little special!

Our residential camps are an all encompassing, hockey extravaganza designed for dedicated, driven and talented juniors who want to develop their tactical and technical games both on and off the field.

Whilst staying at our incredible facilities, you’ll be immersed in a program that delves into tactical knowledge of the game, challenges technical ability, explores physical and mental preparation for hockey and SO much more!

On departing at the end of the week you won’t just be technically better at hockey, you’ll have a MUCH better understanding of the game, the skills involved, how and when to use the most effectively as well as how to be mentally and physically prepared for our tough and demanding sport.

Southgate Hockey Centre is delighted to be hosting the Women’s O55 Area Tournament on Sat 9 & Sun 10 May, with matches starting at 11:00am on Saturday.

Come and watch two days of fast-paced, competitive hockey — spectators welcome, so bring family and friends to cheer on the teams!

Join us on Saturday evening for the last game of the 2026 hockey season.

Southgate Men's 1 take on Brooklands Manchester Uni M1 in an exciting finale to the season. Push back at 6pm.

Also on Saturday, our fantastic Kitchen will be producing some amazing BBQ food from 5pm.

Come on down and celebrate in the sunshine with a few drinks, excellent food and great company.
