Six weeks. One final round. 🥊
Today marked the end of our first Boxing with Bill course and what a brilliant six weeks it’s been.
From learning the fundamentals of stance, footwork and punches, right through to putting combinations together, the progress from everyone has been fantastic to watch.
The final body sparring round between Bill and Keir was worth the six weeks on its own. It was the perfect way to finish the course and had everyone gathered around watching the action unfold.
A huge thank you to Bill for sharing his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm throughout. He’s created sessions that have been challenging, fun and packed with learning from start to finish.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who signed up, turned up and got involved. The atmosphere every week has been superb.
Boxing develops fitness, coordination, balance, speed, reactions and confidence, and we’ve seen plenty of that over the last six weeks.
Hopefully this won’t be the last time Boxing with Bill appears on the Eastside timetable… 👀🥊

“Nobody ever regrets the workout they almost skipped.”
This morning Simon arrived at our 7am outdoor fitness session in Victoria Park and said:
“I wasn’t sure if I was going to come. Then I pictured myself running around the park, doing the exercises, being with the group, and how great I knew I’d feel afterwards having got it done.”
And that’s exactly it.
Some mornings you’re tired. Some mornings motivation is nowhere to be found.
But outdoor exercise has a way of changing that.
Fresh air, green space, expert coaching, great people and 45 minutes away from the stresses of everyday life. No planning, no overthinking, just turn up and let us do the rest.
Not every session needs to be a personal best.
Sometimes the biggest win is simply showing up.
Because once it’s done, you’ll always be glad you came.

Another great turnout in Victoria Park tonight 👏🌳
