Staying with the Journey! ✍️

JACK ANDERSON

After a horrific knee injury in 2023 it was great to see back on the pitch towards the end of this season! A big pre season for this quality player and we cant wait to see what Jando brings in 26/27!

FOREVER PART OF THE

THANK YOU / DIOLCH

The end of the season marks the end of the playing days and the London Welsh chapter, for 4 legends of the club who have written themselves into the long history books of our great club.

MATT HODGSON : 50 appearances, 1st XV Captain and a stand out performer leading from the front since he joined up with us 3 years ago. A london welsh man to the core Matt has epitomised what our community represents and will be sorely missed on the pitch. Matt will continue to be a huge friend of the club into the future and he will forever be a brick in our foundations.

ADAM NIXON: 101 appearances, former club captain, a huge part of the journey through project reset and an ever present since his arrival in 2020! A star both on and off the field Adam will leave a sizeable hole far greater than is physical stature! Another player who will not be going far in retirement and will remain a close part of our community - he also may be persuaded back for the odd game if injuries allow .......😇

TOM WILLIAMS: 50 Appearances, a Stirling captain on many occasions and pack leader, arriving at the same time as his great friend Mr Nixon, Tom's arrival heralded a change in mindset and direction during project reset and his presence and leadership over recent seasons has been irreplaceable. Having retired last season It is testimony to Tom that he came out of retirement this season to help the club consolidate in National 2, when we most needed him - bringing up his 50 caps at the same time in his final ever game of rugby.

ANDY BLACK: 124 appearances! Last but absolutely not the least! What can we say about Andy Black: A player that has represented the spirit and heart of the club since project reset. An ever present since 2018, arguably our most important player over the last 8 seasons! A genuinely lovely human being, a superbly talented rugby player and friend for life to the club and each and every person that he has met in our community, over his time with us. Only 28 but looks at least 48. Andy moves back to Devon with our love and respect but knowing he will be a regular at ODP when time allows. & with his boots in an emergency!❤️
