Pregnancy shoulders
Did you know that during pregnancy women start to slouch? I didn’t🤷🏻♀️ with a combination of hormones- relaxin hormone in particular, changes in your breath, body changes and growing weight, we start a slouching process that may cause joint stress and discomfort, back ache and an awkward posture.
In Pregnancy Yoga classes we explore the different variations of shoulder openers and play with it to understand what works for you today. Because often in pregnancy, every single week is different and things that worked last week may not be comfortable today. So keep an open mind and open shoulders😄
See you on the mat!

Sleepless nights? Double check😞
Both girls are positive for Covid this week and the nights have been challenging! Both were miserable and needed a lot of cuddles! Of course we were both there for them and tended to their needs. What about the sleep process? I’m not worried, as they both have a very healthy sleep routines they will quickly sleep through once they are feeling better. How did your children cope with Covid and sleep?

Before and after sleep process
Before - Naomi would only sleep on me, would not sleep more than 3 hours, ate every 2-3 hours and would not fall asleep before 10pm
After- Naomi goes to bed at 7pm, wakes up at 1am for a feed, and starts the day at 6:30am.
We are both much more happy and relaxed now that we have a good sleep☺️
Is this it? The answer is no. Children will constantly test the boundaries, life will make us step out of the routine, but children with good sleeping habits will always find their way back to their sleeping routine💤

Hallelujah🙌 that’s what we call phase 3 in our sleep process and it is the phase Naomi and I started on Friday😁 In phase 3 we say goodnight and walk out the room. As we have done a lot of preparation for this moment Naomi responded really well to it and just fell asleep on her own✨ it took us 12 days to reach this point, it can be shorter or longer, every family is different🙃 from a baby that would only sleep on me, she now sleeps independently in her own bed😁 I am so proud of her😍 got questions? Don’t hesitate to dm me

phase 2 days 7+8+9
What you are looking at here is a rested mum😆
Phase 2 has been working really well for us, Naomi can almost sleep independently now! This means she has longer stretches of sleep and so do I! She is only asking for 1 feed during the night which is so great😄I have introduced a dummy, and she still needs my help when it falls out but I believe it’s a matter of days before she can grab it herself☺️ in phase 2 I am still very much near her in the room, just being present and this gives her the opportunity to soothe herself, while I’m there to support her.

Ahh! A hot cup of tea, that’s what I had today during the afternoon while Naomi was asleep in her bed!! Days 4,5,6 of our sleep process were challenging as I was under the weather🤧 and Naomi was colicky🥴 but we did it💪 and today I am happy to say we moved on to phase 2🥂 want to know more about the process? Contact me or tune in tomorrow☺️ Have a good night🙌💗

Happy 2022🥂
The beginning of the new year always brings thoughts, reflections and new hope!
Yesterday someone was asking me about the sleep method and am I really getting a five months old baby to sleep on her own?
She said she doesn’t believe in it, and that babies should not be expected to fall asleep independently at this age. You know what? I could totally relate as I used to think like that up until 18 months ago.
So what happened? My eldest Ella gave up sleep all to together when she was about 3 months old. At the beginning I told myself it’s because she has a cold, after that it was teething , the 4 months sleep regression, growth spurt, 8 months separation anxiety and so on.. I refused to get any help because just like that woman yesterday I believed that Ella does not need to sleep independently at this age. So she didn’t sleep and we didn’t sleep and our quality of life was severely damaged. We were just on survival mode.. when Ella was 1.2 I gave up and called for help, but the rule was to never let Ella “cry it out” as I could never do that. We found the most amazing sleep consultant and very quickly Ella started sleeping through the night! Words cannot describe the joy we felt😆 Ella was a much calmer baby, and I was a much calmer mum! Our playtime together was so much fun as we both had energy we didn’t have for a long time. I fell in love with the method and wanted to help more families regain the joy and sanity that was lost due to sleep deprivation and so I became I sleep consultant myself. When Naomi was born it was clear that at 5 months old I will teach her to sleep independently in order to improve her life quality as well as ours☺️ thank you for reading🙏 wishing you all a fantastic 2022 filled with joy, health and especially good night’s sleep⭐️🌙💤

3 sleep process for my baby
Last night we’ve experienced a regression after successful 2 day.. this time my husband did bedtime and it did not sit well with Naomi. After an hour of screaming I did the forbidden thing (never change in the middle) and came in, she was asleep within five minutes. After that the whole night went wrong.. and you know what? That’s ok. We’re only human and we are bound to steer away sometimes. What’s good about having a method is that you always have something to get back to☺️

sleep process day 2
Still in phase 1 day 2 went so much better than the night before. I was more confident which gave Naomi more confidence and it only took me 20 minutes (even when writing this I’m still shocked) to get her to sleep!! Last night I had a chat with parents about big life changes such as quit smoking/changing nutrition/ moving to a new city etc, how it affects us as adults, and how a sleep process affects our babies - The reason we are making these life changes is because we want to improve our quality of life, but it is challenging and we always need to remind ourselves why we are doing this and what are the benefits🐾🌻
