🚨 Protect Trent Park & Our Green Spaces! 🌳

The Council has started a short consultation (8-21 Sept) on the development of Crews Hill and Vicarage Farm – areas that are currently green belt along Enfield Road.

If we don’t act, our green spaces could be replaced by high-rise buildings, turning our neighborhood into another Enfield Town. 🏢❌

After a 6-year break, our club aquathlon returned yesterday – and what a fantastic comeback it was! From our speedy juniors taking on their first swim-runs to the adults powering through the pool and trails, the energy, smiles, and club spirit were incredible. 💚

👏 A huge well done to every single finisher – whether it was your first aquathlon or your fiftieth, you made the event special.

🙏 An enormous thank you goes to all the volunteers who marshalled, timed, set up, cheered, and kept the day running smoothly – we couldn’t have done it without you. And of course, the biggest thanks to Anja, whose organisation brought the Aquathlon back to life in such style 🏅✨

Mid Week League is back!
Last Wednesday, Trent Park Running Club kicked off the 2025 Mid Week League with a cracking first race in St Albans. The green and white were out in force, with an awesome team turnout and some standout performances all round.

Whether you raced, cheered, or just brought the energy—we felt it! Great start to the series, and we’re buzzing for the next one.

Trent Park HSV Triathlon Takeover!

This past Sunday, Trent Park athletes showed up bright and early for the HSV Sprint Triathlon in Hatfield – and what a morning it was!

Despite the 6am start and a surprisingly chilly bike leg, we had 13 members racing (6 women & 7 men), including first-timers Richard Allen, David Weir, and Matthew Petch-Cooper.

Standout performances:

Matt Petch-Cooper – 7th overall with the 3rd fastest swim!

Dave Weir – 13th overall, 3rd in his age group, 4th fastest run

Richard Allen – pushed past his swim nerves and finished just 5 seconds behind John Kercher!

The women were on fire:

Anja Greenwood – 2nd woman overall

Christine Hawker – 1st in her age group

Ania Sikorka – bike split was faster than the winner (!), but after realising she’d taken a wrong turn, graciously stepped back from a podium finish

Sue Cross & Beata Falkowska – both earned age group podiums too!

In the Aqua-bike,

Caroline Harding – 1st woman, 2nd overall

Luke Bowie – 4th overall while easing back from injury

Most importantly, the Trent Park team spirit was out in full force — cheering each other on the course and at the finish!
