Hackney RFC - the fastest growing rugby club in east London. We're based at Spring Hill in Hackney. Training every Wednesday, 7:30pm at Mabley Green (E9 5HW)

The club runs 4 mens sides, two ladies teams & has a large youth section. The 1st XV (Griffins) was promoted for three years running from 2007/8 and finished a very respectable 3rd in their debut season in Herts/M'sex 1 (RFU level 9) in 2010/2011. WEEKEND SQUADS!!

The 1s tackle Barnet for the third time this season in another top-of-table clash. Expect a huge game at the Marshes, all support warmly encouraged. 2pm KO.

The 2s also face their league table neighbors, Wasps. An exciting lineup of Hackney men to travel west for a 12:30KO.

85-17! Last weekend saw the Mens 1s secure their largest victory in over a decade, with dominant 13-try display in front of a home crowd. They'll be looking to continue the fine run of form tomorrow against Barnet, at home, in round 2 of the playoffs. Up the Hack!

PHASE 2 BEGINS! After topping the table in Phase 1, the 1s face Harrow at home for the first game of Phase 2.

Phase 2 explained - After a round robin of fixtures (7 opposition teams, 14 games), the league is split into top-4 / bottom-4. Top-4 play eachother again home/away to decide the league winners. League points from Phase 1 are retained.

Squad for the 1s re-arranged fixture against Kilburn. This time, safe from flooding on an artificial pitch at Wasps FC.

Looking to finish strong in the final game of Phase 1, before commencing Phase 2 next week.

SQUADS!! After two false starts last weekend, the lads are chomping at the bit for their first games of 2026.

The 1s head West to face Actonians, whilst the 2s take on Hampstead in a local (not so local) derby, played at Hendon RFC.

A first outing of 2026 for the men of Hackney.
The 1s face Old Millhillians at home, looking to defend their place at the top of the league.
The 2s game falls victim to frozen pitches, and is postponed.

Table leaders heading into Christmas! A strong 59-5 victory over Finsbury Park at the weekend further cements the 1s position at the top, now 7 wins on the bounce.

A well earned rest over Christmas before a return to competitive fixtures on 10th Jan for both the 1s and 2s.

The 2s finished their year strong with a victory against local rivals Old Streetonians, gaining valuable points in a tight table.
