ANNOUNCEMENT: Hello adventure people. Sadly, after a lot of thinking and reflecting, we've decided to put WildBase into hibernation. This wasn't an easy decision but given the current lockdown we've had to cancel all our events and with the lack of clarity about when restrictions might start to lift it's very challenging for us to plan and run a business like this.
The last couple of years have been a blast and we've loved it. Thanks to everyone who's been part of it with us ๐. Whether you joined an event, watched one of our film evenings, listened to the podcast or subscribed to the newsletter we truly appreciate you being part of our journey.
We hope this isn't the end but we wanted to share our latest position with you. Keep adventuring ๐๏ธ

A quick update on Sunday's Broomway walk following recent announcements and parts of Essex moving into tier 3 (including Southend-on-Sea).
Our outing is categorized in organised outdoor sports as a 'hiking' activity led by a professional guide and permitted under tier 3 lockdown restrictions. We have a small group coming out on Sunday, so distancing will be very easy to maintain โ there is an enormous amount of space on the Maplin sands!
A few spots still available on this sunrise epic. https://www.wildbase.co/thebroomway

Hi everyone! Following this weekendโs lockdown announcement, we're gutted that we need to postpone our events scheduled for November and early December.
We know itโs a challenging time for lots of people and the importance of getting outdoors has never been greater so weโre sad that we canโt run our adventures but itโs the right thing to do.
We really appreciate the support from everyone in the WildBase community and those who sign up to our trips. We look forward to welcoming you on future adventures...hopefully very soon :)
For those of you looking for inspiration during this period or if you're looking for Christmas or birthday presents we've just launched adventure gift vouchers, which can be used on any of our virtual or physical events. Certainly a better gift than socks :)

'Start small, start today, start just as you are'. Our interview with Jo Moseley earlier in the year is one of our favourites and certainly worth a read. Plenty of relevant and interesting tips and lots of fabulous energy. thhttps://www.wildbase.co/post/jomoseley
You're never too old to do something wild...
Jo Moseley became the first woman to SUP (stand up paddle board) coast to coast from Liverpool to Goole, a journey of 162 miles. Jo is now focused on being a joy encourager, midlife adventurer and beach cleaner.
