The unfortunate time has come that this little gem needs to go up for sale.

Purchased by me and my father in 2019 from David Bailey ( long time TR racer ) we recommissioned the car for sprints/hillcimbs. 2020 the car came 3rd overall and 2nd in class in the SDMC speed championship including a 1st in class at Goodwood in 2020. 2021 we decided to start an overhaul to help develop the car, due to work commitments and health we are unable to finish the car so hence the sale.

The car has Group 4 front suspension struts from Hamilton Motorsport ( new in 2019 ). AVO Rear coilovers (new 2020). Adjustable rose jointed rear tie bars (new 2020), Full Safety Devices Roll cage, Bucket seat, Princess 4 pot calipers and New EBC drilled and groved discs ( new 2020 and unfitted to the car plus old counter parts), Quick steering rack (unfitted), custom raditor location, fiberglass front wings, front panel, bonnet and boot lid. Drivers side floor pan lowered for head room, and custom gearbox tunnel to take Triumph Dolomite Sprint overdrive gearbox aswell with custom propshaft already fitted to the car. Quaife helical L*D fitted in late 2020 (only done 1 sprint and 1 trackday), New rear brake shoes, partial re-wire and the list goes on.

included with the sale with be a recommissioned LT77 gearbox and New Propshaft to suit

After a long time being parked up we finally got around to pulling the cylinder head off the TR7 Sprint. Turns out that the stripped spark plug thread on cylinder No.3 was also accompanied by a bent Inlet valve and some damage to the head. All seems salvageable but the head is off for crack tests and to have the thread Helicoiled. We did find some good news though, we have a nicely ported and worked cylinder head so we hope it is salvageable. Big thanks to Nick and Nick for all the help. Sorry about the bent valve for a birthday present guess I’ll have to moderate the right foot a bit more 😂.

Good day at Brands Hatch yesterday with .age .charlie
Got some good laps in the TR7, with improvements made all round. Massive congratulations to who had an excellent day in the TR7 and has really benefited from some extra track time to get even more to grips with the car. Well done to .age for a very respectable time in his 1600 Crossflow MK1 Es**rt and in his birthday to top off an excellent day for him. The same goes for who excelled all expectations as normal and was flying all day setting a very quick lap at the end of the day that shows clear signs of improvement over his last visit to the track. Also thanks to .charlie for the help and support. Roll on next season.
