Unfortunately our venue have had to cancel all of our sessions this week (Tuesday 9th, Thursday 11th and Saturday 13th June). This is as a result of there being insufficient staff available to cover.

Apologies for the disruption and the late notice. We hope we will back to normal on Tuesday 16th

It was another great weekend for Blackheath Fencing Club and our fencers. Luke, Jeff, and Henry were in Sheffield representing us at the British Senior National Championships.

They did the club proud with Jeff and Luke finishing 38th and 40th in Sabre, while Henry ranked 37th in Epee.

We’ll see you back on the piste on Tuesday.

Our spring term concluded with the finals of our 2026 épée club championships. Thanks to all who took part this year. Congratulations to Lorenzo on beating our defending champion for the last 3 years, Gully, in the final and to our medallists:

Well done to all our Blackheath fencers who travelled down to Canterbury for the Invicta Open over the weekend! We had an excellent 12 entries across the categories from members/ regular guests.

Highlights included a silver 🥈in the foil plate competition for Alexander and a strong comeback for Feddy that nearly got the win to take a quarter finals medal (or better) but just missed out at the end 14-15. Another really enjoyable Invicta Open weekend. Thanks to all the organisers and we look forward to a return once again next year!

Thanks to the 22 that entered the pools last week across Tuesday and Thursday and those who could make it to last night's DEs. There were some great matches and a couple of upsets in an exciting evening.

Congratulations to our Blackheath fencers on their great results at the London Region Winter Intermediate comp!

Femi fought through to the foil final and came within a single point of winning the gold but still ended up with an excellent silver medal 🥈!

In sabre Byron won a bronze medal 🥉, while in the épée Miriam won a gold medal 🏅 for finishing first of the two in the women's DE draw!

Well done to Henry on an excellent 5th (of 58) place finish at the Leon Paul Men's/Mixed Epee Open yesterday!

Won his pool, bye in 1st DE (missed the cut last year!) then 2 good DE wins. Quarterfinal was close most of the way but not quite enough in the end. A great day though and strong result! Thanks to Leon Paul for another great comp!
