Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go To Work by Paul Babiak & Robert Hare.
The jury is still out on whether it is nature or nature (or a combination of both) that creates psychopaths, although some fledgling evidence seems suggest they are indeed born that way.
I read this book a few years back. The authors (both psychologists with backgrounds in industrial relations and criminology) illustrate the danger of psychopaths in the workplace and their drive to acquire positions of authority in major corporations. Although interesting it is a little let down by its "gossipy" style, since it uses fictional accounts of the archetypal "psychopathic" employee. However, despite its anecdotal style there is a wealth of information detailing how the presence of psychopaths warp many corporations answer the wider work culture. Too bad they haven't written one about the psychopaths who enter into the world of politics

Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the biggest psychopath of all?
Top left: The Governor. Outwardly charming and affable. But keeps a collection of zombie heads in his room and his zombie daughter on a leash.
Top right: Officer Dawn Lerner. Saves random survivors from certain death but then presses them into servitude as repayment. Killed her predecessor to gain power and it seems will do anything to maintain it.
Bottom right: Gareth. Leader of the Sanctuary. Lured survivors to his camp only to turn them into lunch (or join them....whichever was the more delicious choice).
Bottom right: Negan. Leader of the Saviors. Will happily kill your loved ones while you watch with a smile on his face.
Personally, my vote goes for Gareth, because he would calmly look you in the eye while chomping on your leg๐ฒ. If that isn't a cold blooded so*******ch I don't know what is.

The homeless charity Crisis funded a report by the Heriot-Watt university that projected that homelessness will more than double to 500,000 by 2041. That is IF current government policies (lack of suitable housing, welfare "reforms" etc). Don't the evil that is homelessness will not only continue but actually worsen in the years to come. How long will we tolerate this?
