Congratulations to Westminsters Mohammed, along with his team mates Lorenzo (Newark) and Michael (Invicta) on winning a Kata bronze medal at the Jka European Karate Championships 2026.

Tarryn trains with us at Westminster. She’s off to Norway this weekend to compete in the JKA European Championships. We wish her the best of luck Oss.

On Sunday March 15th the Jka England’s Southern Area Championships were held in Bromley. Over 300 competitors, 17 Westminster students took part in this event and 16 medals were won including four Gold. The result were as follows.
•Leonardo Garelli 10-12 Gold in Kumite silver in Kata.
•Sajaan Patel 10-12 4th place in Kata.
•Rafael Velezmoro 13-15 Silver in Kata.
•Maria Gerbino 18-20 Gold in Kata.
•Mohammad Al Manne 18-20 Gold in Kumite Silver in Kata.
•Angelina Bogdan - Adult Bronze in Kata.
•Leo Hamdidouche - Adult Gold in Kata Bronze in Kumite.
•Amin Garousi - Adult Silver in Kumite silver in Kata.
Cecilia Jastrzembska - Adult Bronze in Kumite.
•Harvey Woodham - Vet - Bronze in Kumite.
•Folly Ogundele - Vet - Bronze in Kumite.
• Christopher Beckles - Vet - Silver in Kumite.

* Just confirmed, Westminster student’s Maria Gerbino - Mohammad Al Manne and Tarryn Wickins have been selected by the England coaches to compete in Norway at the Jka Europeans Championships 2026
