Sneak peak at our brand new
🏕️ MOTO HOBO TENT 🏕️
OH YEAH, IT’S BLACK! WHY? Well besides from being the nicest colour there is. It also does a great job at keeping your wild camp low key. The bugs don’t loose their s**t over it like they would over a bright one. It kinda performs a total eclipse of the sun, so your lie-ins are safe. And on colder evenings you can charge up the heat before you hit the hay. But you can also easily cool it down simply by opening the doors at both ends.

Guys you won’t believe this. It looks like some crafty Swiss builders have perfectly created the pinnacle of instagram cliche backdrop for us all to camp in. The rocks are actual stone. They even cooled that mountain river water down to authentic mountain river temperature. The cow and sheep s**t looked a little fake but tasted real. They’ve really gone the extra mile to keep us all dreaming. Well done Switzerland. Keep up the good work.

The upside of sucking at prepping for a trip — You end up riding till 11pm and manage to find a wild camp spot next to 007’s favourite mountain lake in the Ticino Mountains. 👌 view to wake up to.

Sea of Rocks surrounded by a sea of rocks 🤯
Thanks to our astonishing lack of preparation and research, this was as as it got whilst trying to find pieces of the aka when we set off for the alps. But doing the classic move of looking into stuff after the fact, it looks like some of the most stunning parts of Western Europe are also the least off-road friendly parts. Anyhow, there are some hidden trails that we came across and it was a blast none the less.

This thing casually crossed the Alps twice this summer. 1400 km. Very few of those off road, most were paved mountain passes. But it being an XR, they still were great fun. It’s such a grateful bike, that even crashing it into a car front on a couple of weeks later, all it did was to bent its bars.

Not even kidding, got no idea how many mountain passes we rode in the end. Millions maybe? But I do know that the old XR650L did cross the Alps TWICE within 4 days. Made it up to 2800 m altitude. Took the 200m off-road section of the TET Switzerland in its sleep — and it did all of that with a big ass smile.

So good to ride this after having turned in into a VMX with the help of
The new stainless steel pipes sound like a dream. And the big rear sprocket pulls like a Donkey.
Next step: Take it on an ultralight Moto Hobo trip. Might involve a major new product. We’ll see.
