Cultural Significance + History:
Final battle was done “Cats Wars” style. A moment in a battle where all dancers fight for the judges decision at the same time to break a tie.
A historical reference moment to honor the way competitions were run in the birth place of Waacking, Los Angeles, during the 1980s.
“Cat Wars” aka “same time” was reintroduced into whacking culture at LA’s International Waack/Punk/Pose festival in 2010 by for an international audience and is the reason Waacking battles the world over make dancers battle at the same time to break a judges tie.
