Best thing about being a SwimQuest guide?

Meeting the coolest people, just full of stories to share. Communing over a big meal after a successful swim and swapping travel and adventure stories is my favorite.

Icy dip or warm water swim?

Although I’ve spent my whole life dreaming of tropical water, I may be a recent convert.
You can’t beat the high of an icy dip. I live in Austin, Texas, US, so the cold water is hard to come by, but I get it where I can when visiting the UK!

Advice for someone new to swimming holidays?

No matter your age or ability, or whether you're traveling solo or with a friend, I guarantee you will have an incredible time.
All guests share a passion for water and beautiful places, so you’ll quickly be surrounded by new friends and swimming partners.

The guides provide technique coaching and do everything possible to make each guest feel completely comfortable.
I have yet to see a guest who didn’t improve or build open-water confidence by the end of the week.

Every SwimQuest tour caters to guest preferences- the guides are flexible, and our priority is to ensure a fabulous holiday. If you aim to progress your swimming ability or simply have a logistics-free, stunning getaway, you’ve come to the right place!

Coffee or Ice cream?

Coffee! You’ll nearly always find me sipping on one before our afternoon swim. But also… why not both- how good is an affogato?!

Best SwimQuest trip if you were to go as a solo guest?

I can only speak for Mathraki, but it’s absolutely the perfect trip for solo guests.
All of our meals are shared, so you never have to worry about finding places on your own.
Yet there’s also plenty of time for relaxing by yourself between meals and swims if that’s more your speed.
If you’re worried about not knowing anyone, trust me, you’ll have close friends within 48 hours!

1km or 10km?
