Streatham & Marlborough Cricket Club We're a community cricket club based between Dulwich and Forest Hill in south London with over 500 playing members.

With around 160 adult players and over 340 junior players, we're one of the biggest clubs in south London and in the country. Our men's section, which is one of the biggest in the country, regularly puts out 10 sides per week - 7 on Saturdays, 2 on Sundays and a mid-week side playing T20s and friendlies. We also have one of the largest women's sections in the region, with 2 women's squads playing

on Sundays and a women's mid-week T20 side. In our junior section, we have 14 league teams from Under 8s to Under 19s, including 4 dedicated girls’ teams (Under 8-9s, Under 10-11s, Under 12-13s, and Under 14-16s), and year-round cricket for juniors as young as school year Reception. We play around twice as many junior matches per player than the average Surrey club (2022 figures). We pride ourselves on being one of the most sociable and most inclusive clubs in the region. Across senior and junior sections we are around 28% ethnicities other than white-British, around 28% female and around 5% with a disability. We provide cricket for everyone - from the highest possible standards to the most leisurely. As long as you love cricket, you should feel at home at SMCC. With around 130 female members, dedicated all-female training evenings, a chairwoman at the helm of the club, women’s squads who won the inaugural Surrey Slam T20 in 2019 and have won three promotions in the last five years, plus a girls' section that is has been growing rapidly for the last 4-5 years, we consider ourselves leaders in women and girl’s cricket. Tony’s brilliant Solid Rock Caribbean BBQ will be doing the food, plus there will be some fun and games to help welcome in all our new joiners.

*THANK YOU* to everyone who came out for Get Set Weekend.

More than 50 members turned out across the weekend to help prepare the ground for the summer, repairing nets, fixing sightscreens, painting benches and so much more.

Welcome to our new home!

We are in the final stages of completing our pavilion, due to be open mid April 2026, and coming back with one final appeal for donations. It’s your last chance to get your name up on our wall of donations and avoid saddling the club with a large amount of debt. Reducing the debt will allow us to reduce the cost of participation, offer nurseries where needed and increase community use of the building.

We are nearly halfway to our fundraising target to put a memorial clock on the side of the new pavilion in the name of Eddie Goodchild.

Eddie was a much-loved club stalwart, first as a player, then a captain, membership secretary, treasurer, president and most recently 2nd XI umpire.

Please consider donating towards the Eddie Goodchild Memorial Clock, a fitting tribute to a man who kept us all on time for decades.

A reminder that Eddie Goodchild's funeral will be held at 12.45pm at Friday at the Croydon Cemetery and Crematorium on Mitcham Road.

We have made it a third of the way to our fundraising goal of £2,000 to erect a memorial clock in his name on the side of the new clubhouse.
