OMG that was one of the hardest events I have ever done. After some unfinished business in 2018 it was good to come back with these hero dudes and finish the . Some pretty crazy “skiing” sections with sparks flying from the skis and more on foot that I would have liked but it was great to roll into Verbier. It’s not often I do team events but this definitely was a team event as we all helped each other through the low points. Well done .ecceterra for getting through it. Thanks for backing us up all the way and to a massive thank you for supporting me so I could go training this winter! Also big thank you to all the soldiers from the .ch who were so positive and helpful running the event up in the mountains. .matterhorn

Got to the top only to see the storm rolling into the valley. Quick turnaround and then it got dark in the woods with the light fading only made the lightning more impressive.... missed getting wet by seconds as I skidded into the drive. Brilliant ride!

I’m on the lookout for riders....... Looking for a final few riders for our first gravel event with LimeLight sports]. This is a new event we are running in a limited capacity this September 18th before the full run out in May 2022. Route is 200km and a lot of climbing. We have very limited places left for male and female riders but we are trying to get to 50/50 with our first event so any female riders out there up to the challenge let us know! 1: dress up in silly costume
2: ring a bell at anything that moves
3: extra loud shout for the really tired riders at the back
Good times at one of my favourite races. Now back to a week of conference calls and spreadsheets

Summer is in the air! After 6 weeks off the bike it’s been nice to get rolling again. I think I’ve missed the headspace the most (too many online meetings) and happy to be rolling with the goal of being semi decent for the . Will leave the 140km vs 70km decision for another day!

I’ve had January off from social..... media that is! Well, actually actual social too. On the plus side a month of biking and skinning has been really good fun. Getting the winter mikes in now for the covid free summer miles = smiles.

2hrs of wet, muddy, cold, snow line touching, mud in teeth bliss! Got the xc whip back out this week and it’s so much fun being able to stand on the pedals and feel like you are going forward. Also proves there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choice. Don’t get me wrong big bouncy bike..... you are great but sometimes we all need a change!.... it’s not you, it’s me!

Last day for the lifts .leshouches came to the trails late and made a lot of use of the trails! Thanks so much to all that put the effort to build them!

Apparently 8 years today was the men’s RR. Joyous day won by the best man......... and also to keep the theme going I was also getting ready to start the world champs in . Good times..... this is a picture of me in newer times learning how to do uplift days on the VTT during a pandemic. Well done for nailing the procedures!

Big climb up...... big descent down! Perfect recipient. First time riding an “xc” bike again and loving the feeling of speed/agility and being able to cover distance up in the mountains above Sallanches.
