A-Class Swimming

I am writing to you in order to reach out for an urgent recommendation for swimming pool hire for 121 lessons for children with disabilities and special needs.

I am a start-up independent swim school and was running a successful swim school hiring a pool from a local centre in Ilford, but unfortunately have been completely let down by the current pool owner in that they only gave me notice today to leave (I have almost fully booked lessons for the school term starting from 6 Sep). Potentially, there will be a lot of upset parents and children especially those with disabilities where they have been badly affected by lockdown with little access to suitable activities for them, and it is unfortunate that the owner of the pool did not care about this, not to mention potential losses as all the lessons have already been paid in advance.

I know it is going to be a miracle if God is kind to give an opportunity to help me out with this. But I am praying for any possible options so that these children can have an opportunity to learn valuable life-saving skills in learning to swim.

So if you know anyone who may have access to a swimming pool (all lessons are either 121 or 221, so doesn’t need to be a big pool, even a small pool would do), grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

Pool will be closed for 2 weeks depending on the maintenance it could be slightly longer.

I am starting Sundays lessons after the maintenance and lessons will start from 3pm till 6pm.

I am pleased to say that I have finally managed to secure a new pool for the lessons, so here are the details:

START DATE
WEDNESDAY SLOT - 19 MAY 21
FRIDAY SLOT - 21 MAY 21

VENUE
NUFFIELD HEALTH ILFORD - 68-90 Clements Road, Ilford, IG1 1BP.

TRANSPORT

BUSES (there is a bus stop about 1min walk from the venue) - see attached map.

TRAINS - Nearest station is ILFORD on the TFL RAIL, then its about a 5-7min walk from the station - see attached map.

BY CAR - there is a multi-storey car park next to the centre, and you can claim 2 hours free parking once you are inside NUFFIELD by scanning the parking ticket through a machine at reception. Be aware that the car park is very strict on the 2 hours limit, so even if you go over by 1 min, you need to pay for the additional time at the paypoint before leaving the car park.

FACILITIES
- The pool changing rooms are located downstairs.
- Lockers are padlock, so if you want to use it, you will need your padlock.
- Showers are available

ETIQUETTE

- Please arrive 5 minutes before the Lessons.
- The meeting point will be on the poolside.
- There are no outdoor shoes allowed on the poolside. You can wear flip flops or sandals are allowed.
- Parents can sit on the poolside during the lessons and view the lessons.
