Variety Golf

This week we ticked off a new venue on our Variety Golf ‘bucket list’ schedule on The Greatest 36 at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen. We arrived on Sunday just in time for the Legends Tour Legends Tour final round on the New course which gave our members some inspiration for the following day where we played the same course and pin positions. On Tuesday we tackled the incredible Old Course which next week plays host to the DP World Tour, making our members feel very special with all the grandstands in place!
Monday evening we held a Gala Dinner in the Clubhouse and a BIG thanks to Ian Irving who hosted the auction which helped to raise £40,000 and get another Variety Sunshine Coach on the road.
An unforgettable three days was had and our winning team consisted of Nick Edwards, Tom Nunn, Jeremy Brown & Ryan Krautkremer.

Last week we were at The Dorchester for our Variety Golf Summer Lunch. We kicked off proceedings presenting a Sunshine Coach to The Cedars Primary School which was sponsored by Joie Baby Gear. hosted and was joined by Anton Du Beke to play Heads & Tails. Later Anton presented a Lifetime Contribution award to Wilnelia Merced Forsyth for all the support herself and Bruce have given us over the years. Steve Hewlett Ventriloquist kept everyone entertained with his hilarious act and Five Acre Wood choir also came along to sing their latest single and as always got a standing ovation. The most important part of the day was the fundraising and we are delighted to confirm we raised £192,000!!
